Stark is a great character. Can't wait for you to see the next episode!

Madhouse is the studio credited with the series.

The countdown continues 9 to go 🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵

The scene with the Einsam as Himmel, really shows just what kind of person Himmel was.

Dingo

Btw starks va is zinetsu from demon slayer I believe since you're also watching that

I consider episodes 1-4 to each be a sort of litmus test for how a viewer will engage with the show's various themes. Episode 1 is about the theme of loss and passage of time. How will you engage with the idea of Frieren's alternate perspective on time and the feelings she's realizing she missed out on? Episode 2 is about legacy and inheritance. How will you engage with the idea of passing down the future to the next generation? Episode 3 is about magic as a scientific process, evolving over time. How will you engage with the idea that magic has a logical element to it? Episode 4 is about joy in the mundane. How will you engage with the idea that some of the most resilient memories are of the little things, even amongst the presence of "bigger" things? Obviously, none of these episodes are so clean-cut, but those are the parts I pay most attention to. Seeing how people react to those moments in each episode kinda tells us which parts of the rest of the show they'll enjoy. I think I saw in one of AloeKaye's community posts that her brother recommended Frieren, knowing what kinds of themes she likes? Based on her reactions to the ideas presented in the story thus far, I think he's got her pinned 😄

Himmel's phantom saying "frieren, shoot me" is one of my fav moments in this show. Its small but its clear the Einsam copies the person using the victim's memories. Frieren knows how heroic Himmel was so if he suddenly became a phantom to lure her to her death then he wouldn't hesitate to alert her even if it meant his own death. And then you have that knowing glance from Heiter when Fern realizes this is the Einsam and steels herself to kill it. He is proud of her.

No this is false info. They do sound alike and give off the same energy, but Stark and Zenitsu have different VAs. You can hear the difference when they talk in a serious tone. When they are wimpy they sound similar

Always appreciate your perspective and the way you articulate your insights 💛 I think a lot of these did tangentially relate to my initial reactions, although I will say each time I watch back my reactions for editing I see such new things every time I rewatch.. which is just a testament to the show itself. It's crazy how each ep does have so many layers of the human (and elven ig) experience that it hits on in such a short timeframe. And LOL yes my brother recommended Frieren to 'hook me' into anime so to speak, said it would a great first anime to watch for me. I agree he really is a knower haha this has been an amazing show for me, and I can see many of you relate deeply as well which I love so much 🙌

Wow... this is an amazing catch. I remember the scene catching me off guard with both himmel and heiter, but that's really astute and I completely agree with your deduction, thank you for this 💛🙌

Naturally, not everyone's reactions are going to focus on the things I mentioned for those episodes -- there are a lot of layers to each episode, like you said. I just keep an eye out for reactions to those certain things, even small ones. I saw what I needed to see to know you'll continue to pick up on the important stuff later on, trust 😛

He is such an amazing add to the squad, such a great balance of both depth and lightness to him. ❤️

Whew you guys are ahead of me, I haven't even gotten into VAs yet (didn't even know what the acronym meant until your second comment and deduced voice actors lol). I will say I love Starks voice/inflections so I'm super curious if I'll recognize the VA again if/when it pops up in another anime character

Dingo

Japanese dub is a game in itself of connecting the dots to the same VA A different character different anime

If you like zombies, then there is a variety of anime that you might like. Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress was very popular although it falled off a bit at the end. It also has a good movie.

Lili

dont recommend that shitshow, zom 100 i heard is good
