I like how it flashes between teacher and student at the end for each of them, and for Frieren it uses Himmel, which I can only think is because he taught her (and is still teaching her through memories) what it means to connect with the people in her life.

Yay more Frieren. :)

Remember the name "The Hero of the South". I won't say why, but you should.

The monster that Eisen and the old gang faces really is intimidating. And the fact it feels more so than the dragon really is something

Aloe and the city castle having different emotes at Frieren's party moving thru the gate lol I love the paralell between Stark and Eisen. That scene last episode where Eisen is talking to frieren about how stark is a coward and "he's like me" always gets me. It has always felt like the reason fear pushes Eisen forward is because he is afraid of being a coward. He is afraid of letting the people important to him down again like he did in his past. I love that characterization of fear being a motivator. I also love how these heroic figures to everyone (Stark and Eisen) are driven by this fear. Its a motivation not usually explored in this way. Even though the 2nd half of the episode is one of my least favorites (not a dig, everything in frieren is a masterpiece but some parts naturally have to make the bottom of the list), I appreciate that they handle a lot of world building. I remember there was a person who stopped the show cuz they claimed the rules of the world don't make sense. Like a warrior can slice thru a hillside to make a canyon so why are there even castles. But imo that person wasnt paying attention. This episode clarifies that magic plays a big role. You cant fly over the walls cuz of a barrier reinforced by magic. It stands to reason the city walls are similarly reinforced with magic the way that the hillside Stark was slicing thru wasnt. I dont imagine Stark could slice thru the city walls so the party could continue their journey and even if he could im sure there would be major ramifications. Like Himmel and Eisen almost got beheaded for speaking casually to a king. Pretty they'd be hanged if Stark busted thru a city wall or Fern tried to break thru a magic barrier protecting a city. I understand skipping the intro/outro but i hope you let it play every now and then. I love seeing reactors pointing to moments in the intro/outro they recognize now that they have made it thru more episodes. Maybe one every new session would be enough.

I wish I found you a little later, I’ve already binged all your DS and frieren episodes 😭💔

Not the react pic 😭😂 this is too funny, but also so sweet esp at that moment. 💛 And I agree with you, I also adore the parallels and balances between characters (because they are so different in a funny way, but then will have so many moments of such love and understanding for each other on a deeper level). And regarding fear being a motivator, I agree I don't feel that I usually see it in the way Frieren explored it in this ep. Bc I think it's so real to have insane fear, but then to do something WITH fear anyway, not necessarily overcoming it/pretending you don't feel it or something. So much of the time when I feel fear or anxiety it 's bc I do care deeply, so to me it shows such strength that Eisen and Stark were insanely fearful, acknowledged it, AND did the thing because they cared so much. And ty for the input I am never sure on intro/outro, I usually want to play it through to remind myself of the lyrics which are so impactful, so maybe I'll do so a bit more moving forward (and you guys can skip thru if you want).

HAHA no this is so real, I totally understand and do appreciate you being here. I know when I love something I want to binge all the content, it's been SO hard not just watching these shows on my own all the way thru lol (bc I'm reacting and have to pace myself ofc). Still, I'm so happy you're here! And my efficiency with editing is increasing each time. Also been looking into investing into higher-level softwares + tools to automate the process more so I will start adding more and more as the channel grows!! 💛😊
