There’s a really good YouTube video about Beitar Jerusalem (Bibi’s favourite team and also the worlds most racist football club) on a channel called HITC Sevens. It’s a football / soccer channel but the creator has pretty good politics. I worked at a summer camp an hour outside of nyc for some years. It was a Jewish summer camp. I had the same kids for all my years and got to know the families, attended some of the kids’ bar mitsfah’s, visited a couple of them during their time in college.. a small percentage of the kids came from Israel or were Israeli and during the parents visiting day every year I would have one experience where a family of a child for whom I did not know and was not their counselor would approach me and treat me like a slave. Angrily and rudely command me to do something for them. There was a little girl who I gave a couple of guitar lessons and I approached the family to say something nice about how she like music and had done well with a guitar lesson. The father ignored me and the mother did not even acknowledge what I said before rudely demanding that I take their lunch treys and dispose of their trash. Being an early 20s Georgia kid, my experience was limited, but I quickly noticed all these incredibly rude people had a funny accent… In later years, after an incident with a staff member getting in a confrontation with a family, they started giving the staff a warning about how to deal with and avoid confrontation with the Israeli families on the visiting day… like this day was a celebration and the American parents were mostly great, and then there was this small subset of people who were absolutely miserable and treated everyone like shit. It was clearly cultural, im just saying, this is my lived experience. It is valid

I was in a group show with an Israeli painter a couple years ago, it took me a little while to place her accent before I found out her citizenship. It really does sound like German and French at the same time. She was really bullheaded and though a lovely person on the surface, she absolutely comported herself with assumed privilege. Another member of our cohort in the show was an elderly South African woman of Arab heritage. It only took one international “event” entering conversation following the closing of our show for us to see the Israeli’s true colours and enact a cold falling out with her.

I've spent multiple years as an American traveling around south America, mostly hitchhiking and doing odd jobs. Literally every single local/hostel/tourist related buisness has an inate and justified hatred of Israelis. I think everyone I have ever met has a annoying to terrifying anecdote or experience with ex- or active duty IDF soldiers on vacation and if you don't yet you are in luck cause you probably don't have to travel very far away to get one of your own.
