I don't get why so many cranks, left and right, are into the Verdi tuning thing. Equal temperament (what is considered standard tuning now) just makes it easier to play in any key on the same instrument. While the Verdi tuning stuff makes his music WAY easier to sing, it's not some musical reality that will reshape our minds or something. It's literally the difference of like 8 hertz

Equal temperament is about the ratios between notes within an octave though, not the absolute frequency of concert pitch, so you could have equal temperament with A440, A432, or whatever -- YC
