Although I ate peas and rice in England often, they were made for me by a beautiful Colombiana

theory- one hand of the deep state plants/leans on a juror to delay, stall and be obstinate, the other hand leans on Judge Nathan to do it as fast as possible, knowing that she already has that tendency,. The result gets Ghislaine off the hook and they can blame it on the jury

Nicole D

Where are they sequestered? Are they trying to stick around so they can have good hotel rooms for New Year's Eve?

Nicole D

Never mind I've not been paying attention clearly

Brendan Garcia

“Here’s the dillio my sillios” sounds like Insane Clown Posse lyrics.

The Judge Nathan Blues and Night Court™️ I PRAY are in future live shows

Brace couldn’t think of the word “brain” and came up with “head shit”. These gumshoes need naps

Kratom overdose = automatic hell

Bryson Martinez

One drug I'm glad I never did. Got sober before the kratom wave. Herion seemed way cooler when I first heard about this shit.

rachel perry

I mean couldn’t they still come back with a guilty verdict? Maybe I’m stupid but I don’t get why the jury taking forever is good for the defense

otis

Green muddy hell

Elsie Hupp

The twist is that the deep state is actually operating out of Cafe Lorenzo (and has been for decades).

otis

Reserve all the oatmeal cookies for Liz

(Why does no one talk about the fact that Jeffrey Epstein was found literally next door to the Thurgood Marshall Federal Courthouse, with an uneaten takeaway of dubious barbecue chicken and yellow rice with corn next to him in his cell? Why is nobody talking about the fact that Lorenzo obviously killed Jeffrey Epstein?)

Eli

oh boy this episode really activated my para-social glands

Eli

it's worse than I thought

Elsie Hupp

I think the jury, once in deliberations, are literally the only people in the courthouse who can (at least collectively) tell the judge to shove it. Regardless of whether they convict Ghislaine, the jury can *definitely* nullify working on a holiday. What is the judge going to do about it? Overturn the jury’s unexcused absence on appeal? Take away the lunch money they’re getting paid by the federal government?

Glenn Maxwell Trial: Day 18: first 20 minutes: Liz forgot her wallet again. next 10 minutes: interview with the café Lorenzo check-out girl

Elsie Hupp

New host on the pod, obviously.

Elsie Hupp

Spoiler: they already had the kratom overdose, and Hell is being stuck in a featureless room in Lower Manhattan—together—for the rest of eternity. Hell is other people.

Bro i hate hitting dogs with cars v sad

Le Michel diplomatique

This is probably the alcohol speaking, but the last bit “what are you a Kennedy” cracked me up in the way I need to once a day to survive COVID isolation when I got it visiting my mom’s house for three days

SammyG

Im just sitting at work cackling like a mad man listening to this hahaha

Jessica S

The COVID “concern” is bullshit. My kids are in elementary school, were there for the second half of last year and since Sept this year, only eligible for the vaccine a month ago so basically with no herd to speak of, and their still COVID-free. As are 99% of all the other students. No school transmission and except masks and eating outdoors, no crazy restrictions. In fact, they don’t have to mask outside and they aren’t hounded to stay distanced. (Which I could not care less about now that they are vaccinated and exempt from the overly cautious quarantine if “exposed”.) Are you telling me they can’t achieve that kind of discipline in the jury room, FFS? If you can get 25+ UNVACCINATED kindergarteners to avoid infection, they can get 12 adults to do it. If they actually start seeing cases, they just aren’t trying hard enough. Maybe they need to rotate some elementary teachers in there, lol.

Miss Lourdes

Im thinking of using that cum town promo code ...

Miss Lourdes

I imagine theyre sleeping in a moldy motel

Miss Lourdes

*guffaws richly* this deLIGHTS me!

Chomsky killed it with the blues lick

Bleepblopp

The Cafe Lorenzo saga is more perplexing and compelling than the trial. And I don’t mean that as a slight. I legitimately enjoy hearing about this weird little restaurant that feeds the courts of NYC! Forget ‘Night Court’, where is ‘Food Court’??

Alias Dan Davis

What's with bleeping out the eff word all of the sudden? Have they been doing this for a while and I'm just now noticing?

Jenny K

At one point Brace said they got an email asking if they could censor all cuss words and he said Yung Chomsky only bleeps cuss words if they are directed at liz but I dont know if thats a hard rule. I definitely heard the F word in this episode at least once.

Michael

FUCK THE JURY! what dumb fucks can't decide a verdict on *this* in under 3 minutes?? "The case and the charges are very complicated" NO THEY ARENT! A jury can reach a verdict without justification, they don't have to explain themselves, and the bitch isn't on death row. So It's unexcusable for anyone on the jury to not have reached a verdict within an hour of deliberating lmao it's an open and shut case, she did it, she did everything she's charged with and more, and there's evidence of that everywhere. Team Jury, I hope you get covid after you reach a verdict, and I hope it's the really bad kind of covid. Fucking smooth brained dipshits God damn 😤

opal

brace, are you a sublime fan? do you listen to sublime for enjoyment? like for your enjoyment? i’m starting to think you do

stevie.mck

I had a dream that Ghislane was sentenced to 45 years. Fingers crossed.

TrueAnonPod

Swearing at Liz has always been censored

Katherine Lewis

Not sure how often this actually plays out in reality, but I think people tend to equate the jury taking a long time with deliberating as they must be hesitant to convict, and hesitancy to convict usually ends in mistrial or not guilty. Especially with non-murder/non-death row cases.

Ziggy Stardust

Is the pod actually sponsored by a Casper lol??

Pear Is A Patsy

Some are possibly considering taking a christmas bonus from an anonymous source

Matt

Uhhh GUILTY!

Matt

According to my mom’s insane 24-hour Roku nbc ? news stream…

Kelsey Mohamed

BBC decided to do an interview with fucking Alan Dershowitz straight after the news broke- who of course used the opportunity to speak about Virginia and how he and Prince Andrew aren’t guilty. Awful and transparent!

Mark Owen

They should've followed it with a Jimmy Savile retrospective.

Jenny K

Ladies and gentlemen... we got em

Siobhan

Thank you for following this case so closely. I was victim of CAS as a teenager and have struggled to even identify myself as a 'victim' due to my age at the time. I might never see justice for my own abuse but the prospect of seeing this cunt rot in jail is a small recompense. Cheers x

Jason Weiser

Ladies and gentlemen, we got her

Lionel Boyd Johnson

Let's see about sentencing. I want to see her doing actual time in a real deal prison, not the b.s. deal Epstein got his first go- round

Jerome

Does Yung Chomsky have breaking news klaxons to go with the next episode?
