This verdict could not have come about without all the hard work of you two...that's right, I'm talking about the Gourmand and Cafe Lorenzo Steve

Conor

Damn that was fast! We going to have a True Anon Maxwell Suicided betting pool?

Part Time Stoic

The gourmand single handedly kept Lorenzo in business

Amy Schully

When liz and brace take the same notes😍they’re so in sync

Harry

Seriously, this has been such nice work on ya'lls part.

XerX S

Im finding it wild that trafficking kids and drugs arent that different in time served.

Cosmetics with Kiki

You both make really good points about the justice system and its lack of concern for the victims

Noms Chompski

Great job on the reporting. Hope you all get some rest!

Taylor

Thank you for the tremendous work!

D.K. Wilson

This case? It’s called, “Limited Hangout.”

garrette M cipriano

Thanks Brace and Liz! You guys are awesome. Patreon subscriber for as long as I have an extra $5 a month. Great work!

Ian

Our long national nightmare of only Ghislaine Maxwell episodes is over

August Busch

this is great and all, but i still need some clarification with regards to whether guy fieri is a foodie or a gourmand. c'mon guys

Jake Zydek

Amen. As long as the gourmand is at large, hope exists.

SMO

Thanks guys :)

steve

Love you 3. Thank u

B R

your discussion towards the end here made me think of this spring when the derek chauvin trial took place. i live in the twin cities and when the verdict was ready to be read my boss sent us home early in case there was further unrest. the feeling in that moment of both catharsis when he was convicted and the lack of catharsis when i thought abt how many police officers will never face justice for their crimes is i imagine similar to what you guys were talking about here. doesnt feel great. thanks for your coverage, youve done a good job!

jasper chase

Brace u sound sick i recommend ginger lemon tea.

Colleen Sapienza

And that they don’t realize until recording 😍😍

Andrew C

Thank you all for doing this

Stephen Spataro

This was the first thing I thought of when I heard the verdict.

Ian Fletcher

Bravo to all three of you! Your coverage of this trial has been important and inspiring. If only there had been a Brace and Liz at the Sacco & Vanzetti trial.

Adam Menendez

Thank you my intrepid reporters. If only they had allowed The People's Questions from Liz and Brace we may have gotten some true justice.

Cameron Brown

Your coverage of the trial has been so good. Thank you so much!

Char Kelly

Not gonna get sappy in the comments but #grateful for the last part of this episode (and this whole trial coverage journey)! Y’all’s humor is a real tonic from the pain that comes from covering this subject matter. Can’t wait for your long form reflections 👀👀👀

Colonel Flanders

Ran a mile for every guilty count tonight. Thanks for the great coverage.

Char Kelly

THE DISCOURSE. THE DRAMA

justdave

I'm still smiling like a demon after writing this 😈

Kati Ketz

Truly appreciate y'all's coverage of this, not just the trial but throughout the history of the pod. You've managed to infuse reporting this trial with humor but without being disrespectful to the victims. Mad respect

Jessica S

Ditto to all the gratitude. You guys treated the victims’ experiences with the respect they deserved. It was painful to hear the details and it was evident in your voices just how serious you took it. It’s as good as anyone will get from our society’s tiered justice scheme - you can’t pull the threads on the names in this case without too much coming undone. Those of us without endless resources serve as examples that we are a “just” society with “law and order”. Every once in a very blue moon does someone from the top get snared, but again it’s obviously controlled to lend legitimacy to this shitshow. I can’t see how it will ever be different. When you touched on the complicity of those who may not have abused but who knowingly hobnobbed in silence, I thought of Melinda Gates. I still feel sick over the way her people spun her disgust with Bill’s relationship with Jeffrey as principled. Please. She’s just as wicked. A woman with her means and clout knowing exactly what’s what and staying silent? I’m filled with disgust. The contempt these people feel for us… not even contempt, b/c they pay no attention to our existence. If there was any such thing as justice, she would be locked up for complicity. They are evil to the core.

Jessica S

I can’t wait to see how sentencing goes. Do judges really take remorse, or lack thereof, into consideration as practice or is that just personal style? If it’s common practice, it’s not looking good for her. I can’t imagine she’ll say one peep. Not only would she never admit guilt but I think she’s never considered for a second that she’s guilty of anything. She’s the victim in her warped mind. It will be interesting indeed. At the very least, she has to sit with the knowledge that she wasn’t immediately exonerated as I’m sure she believes she’s entitled to be. Thems the breaks, kiddo.

Uel Aramchek

Thank you for all the coverage. With regards to the rumination and pondering of the incompleteness, it might be worth doing a rogue’s gallery or most wanted of people who haven’t faces consequences, as the list is pretty long.

John

I can’t tell if Brace actually talked to Dershowitz *cue spooky music* or if it’s a joke lol

pulled a muscle yearning

Fantastic coverage gang. Patiently waiting for the trueanon jailcell interview

Andrew Barbato

Earth angels🙏🏼💀 thank you for your service damnnnn

mckinley faas

adam22 is the new jeffrey epstein fight me on this

Ben

Thank you so much for the trial coverage you guys did a great job and I love you.

TangiePower

Would love to hear a little series within TrueAnon retelling the Epstein story from the beginning, knowing what all you know now. So much has since Epstein’s arrest and the podcast’s start.

Dugan

If this series doesn't win a Pulitzer I'm gonna be so mad.

xxx_babyray_xxx

To sound like a broken record, thank you for this coverage, felt like I was in the court room and feel like this is a priceless source for looking back on the trial and as always the insights are great. Listening back to the first interviewee on BBC following the verdict --> ALAN DURSHOWITZ https://twitter.com/vrycoolandgood/status/1476327626763649030?s=20 I wana sift back through the episodes too remember in what context exactly Virginia guiffre was mentioned... can anyone help me find the right ones? But yeah I'm getting big martyr vibes from this verdict. Ghislane has sat silently on her pyre throughout this case, graciously showing her people that she is willing to go down for everything that they did. Sickening.

Uncle JoJo

Thanks for all the coverage and work on this. I know the running joke is that the podcast is always depressing, sad, and serious which is understandable given the topics discussed. However, today I was looking for some, albeit temporary, positivity and happiness discussion since Ghislaine was found guilty. I was a little bummed the pod turned negative and wished you saved the latter half discussion for another episode. Made a joyous day a little bit of a bummer. Agree with everything you all said at the end but was hoping that would be saved for another day.

Anna

Award for biggest journalism fail goes to The BBC for their staggering interview with "The Impartial" Alan Dershowitz.

Ascetic Blur

I'm waiting for the appeal to celebrate.

SouthernHooch

i LOVE the way you 2 describe every detail and your thoughts on those details. it’s just like i’m there with you. and you always make me actually laugh out loud. i love you guys.

Don Ultra

Now speculate: will she turn into “state’s evidence” against the luminaries so as to garner some sentencing mercy?

Zzz

Jack Lansman

You two better be the first in line at her prison to interview her

a clash of purple

I think it's more that they're dumb and they got caught. Bill and Hillary Clinton would never end up in a courtroom for all their rapes and murders.

Sander Emerick

:) - beginning of the episode :( - end of the episode

Zachary Sloan

I was on an attempted murder trial jury and the victim in that trial did not want to prosecute the defendant (because as a poor black guy in Memphis you're not exactly eager to get involved, and he had nothing personally against the defendant). The whole thing was just kind of sad, because the defendant was obviously drunk or something. My main takeaway is that no one (except for the justice system itself) seemed to be served by the whole affair.

kelsey

The biggest question is why didn't Maxwell squeal like a pig for immunity. Was she ever offered the chance to dig out the dirt?

Joel

I know I'm supposed to see this as fundamentally unsatisfying but not gonna lie it feels like a W and I'm letting it hit

a clash of purple

Better for her to be in jail than out and about.

HATERSLAYER420

RIP YA DUMB BITCH but yeah how this will play out for all of the other people involved... as they said, nothing will probably happen. she'll just be the sin eater (dark Gourmand?!?)). the justice system is frustrating and incredibly depressing but as the homie above said it's the closest to a W we can get right now. but she's just 1 of so many sick fucks involved in all of this... idk, nothing can undo what was done. the victims lives are ruined regardless. i'll take the small victory and hope that more follow suit, i guess. this shit sucks.

Micheline

Thank you both for covering the trial!

Svid

My guess is no one wants to pursue those names and now that she's charged she can be the scapegoat for "rational" people to now point to whenever a "crazy" person brings up all the other names. They love a dichotomy where one side you are rational for falling in line and your are Q, coo-coo, bananas if you don't

Christopher Price

no. that was never going to happen. first, she was in place of epstein, who came in from the cold; second, they've raided his new york and palm beach estates--they have a mountain of shit that will never see the light of day; third, notice the language of the case and the selected witnesses--they only selected and asked about instances where epstein was the only man who was serviced. the prosecution built up an image of epstein as a notorious pedophile who had ghislaine as his asst, and some of the more notorious aspects, such as little st james went untouched. a larger scope would have to involve maria farmer and virginia giuffre. an even larger scope would have to reverse the usual question and ask if ghislaine was epstein's handler and who she represented. at best this was a limited hangout

ObjetPetitA

Same literally unintelligible

ClownBabee24

Thats what i was saying. This was a limited hangout. They bracketed the case off from powerful people, focused solely on Ghislaine, and now its over. Whatever Epstein and Maxwell actually were, we'll never know.

burpdizzle

The only chance g max has to avoid a life sentence at this point is to name names. We’ll see…

Kerri

I believe our pedo hunters will find the truth!

The Gristle Report

I was thinking that, but I kinda thought from the start that it may be a light sentence or she gets Epstein'd in jail.

linda jean

im just here to ask… whos dick do i have to suck for an episode on kubrick and eyes wide shut cus im willing to take one for the team

HATERSLAYER420

mine but it's incredibly small so it's more like solving a puzzle than anything sexual the chapo ep on eyes wide shut is great if u havent heard that yet but they have some local DSA leader as the guest for real though i would also love an episode on eyes wide shut. and like kubrick's relationship with hollywood in general cuz it seems like my man knew what was up

Sonya Bogdanova

best i ever heard was from Death is just around the corner

HATERSLAYER420

i subscribed to MSJ's podcast (been meaning to but just forgot) and the episode you mentioned is great, i just listened to it. do you know if he has any other kubrick episodes? or any general recommendations? i love him on trueanon, im coincidentally re-listening to the spider network shit right now

Karl Childers

that's his only kubrick episode but he did also do a pair of episodes about scientology and the movie The Master (about scientology) with matt christman that are well worth a listen shout outs to Death//Corner MSJ is a legend

kelsey

Did you exercise your right to jury nullification?

Zachary Sloan

I was actually chosen as an alternate immediately before deliberations (at least in Memphis, they apparently choose one more juror than they need just in case someone can't make it, and if everyone is still there on the day deliberations start a random juror is chosen as the alternate).

Luccia

minus his weird revisionist takes on the USSR but he comes from a more anti-auth mindset so I'll excuse his dumb moments
