Something missing from the story about CHAZ, the so called autonomyous zone in seattle is that those shootings happened outside the zones AND there signifcabtly LESS shootings in the city during the time it existed including in that neighborhood. It was stupid occuoy redux shit and it annoyed the fuck out of me at the time BUT even mentioning the shooting reinforces the right wing narrative that it was a dangeroys and harmful project wheb it was axtually just a corny waste of time.

Look at outcomes to understand what people/governments want, not 'intent'. For a 'liberal' government to increase policing and surveillance because of the very real threat of a moral protest becoming violent, would give away the game- but to manufacture (from the grassroots) a 'right wing' counterpart protest to then implement this new identity on the public, well that sounds like gladio, the contras, like the years of lead in Italy. Actually it reminds of the circus and how the ring leader creates every plot, pit, and twist to his own show, only to have his mustache curl with surprise when it happens exactly as planned

My first thought on hearing this, is there is a tax system where the corporations and money capitalists don’t pay much tax, but the working class and middle class pays tax, which is a form of extra surplus deduction because most of the government spending comes from borrowing, which is loan capital, serviced by profit of interest. State resources are then allocated towards the interests of capital. So there is the potential for NGO’s or non profit organisations to be useful allies, especially if they don’t pay tax, and also diversity wash capital. Originally the churches were massive landowners under feudalism and that was how they justified fleecing the peasants in the name of charity. BLM national has more or less fitted into that. In the Annales schools of Marxist historiography they expanded the idea that multiple systems exist within one stage of history, so there can be a monarchy and lordships in industrial England which has no separation of church and state, and financial systems that allow medieval practises such as blind trusts which were originally used by crusaders. So nations might have capitalism in the foreground but feudalism in the background, or capitalism, slavery and feudalism or elements remaining from all 3, ie the USA prison system for slavery and so on. I think this is closest to my understanding of it. So NGO’s or non profits could be interpreted as having elements of capitalism and feudalism. My understanding of neoliberalism is closer to this, that it isn’t so much one system but an idealism superficially that features parts of several systems to maintain the ruling class with capital as the material mechanism.

The key point is also is fictitious capital mechanism, as Marx describes it in Kapital, someone commits fraud on an invoice, then the bank pays out in advance of processing, as the guarantor then lose liquidity, and the central banks and thus the taxpayer foots the bill. That adds a further mystification of capital because the process describes creating debt which is serviced by interest which the taxpayer pays, but the corporations don’t pay tax which is where the deduction occurs, surplus value is deducted as tax on top of being deducted before wages are paid. Also the banks commit the fraud and are bailed out by the tax payer and world reserve currency is dollars and is moved itself by capital ie fx trading. Fictitious capital is the key to understanding neoliberalism, because it’s a rewrite of the rules of the state under capitalism to mean the rules themselves are an explicit lie, instead of the state being potentially a chance for some basic reforms by an organised working class, it becomes itself a tool of capital to create debt extraction as well as allowing profit extraction. The new left basically made the classic mistake of not understanding rentier capital(that it features inherently the tendency for money capital to remove itself from production), or fictitious capital and so couldn’t understand neoliberalism.

I think it's probably more likely that it was encouraged as a way to kill many birds with one stone, not just rachet up tension and give libs a reason to support more NSA/FBI/CIA shit but also to use continuity of government to subvert checks and balances in order to implement legislation like they did after 9/11

Ok so there’s a pretty good example of this going on in real time. Some of y’all may be familiar with the RevComs , the Bob Avakian worshipping fake commie weirdos who are very present at every protest in NYC, and I’m assuming probably the Bay Area too. They call themselves the Revolutionary communist party, though they are none of those things, and they do not have any clear goals or politics other than believing Bob Avakian should be in charge of everything (he’s 79 and lives in France) and being vaguely MLM, though again, unclear what they actually think. ANYWAY, I didn’t know this but apparently they are also behind Refuse Fascism, a vague action network which seemed to function mostly to repost on social media and to ask for Donations last year during the BLM protests. Well now they have another shoddy, identical website and Instagram called RiseUp4Abortion, where the main activity is reposting actions from other organizers and (you guessed it) asking for “generous donations”. Anyway this was brought to my attention recently and they’ve like doubled their following since then. The websites are all identical, and if you visit Revcom.us it’s clear they are behind both of them. No fucking clue where these donations go, there is zero accounting for it. They don’t do mutual aid or seemingly anything besides repost online. They have chapters in different cities and own a bookshop or two for a while, but again, the only thing they seem to do is show up at marches, try to recruit people and ask for huge donations. I would love to see channel 5 hang out with these weird vultures. Anyway, thought that was relevant and timely.

Fun fact: I helped organise the treasury of a spontaneously emerged BLM affiliated branch in England during the 2020 stuff. We received about ~£450 iirc, but we only spent about 100 on sound equipment. I was left with the £350, and despite me asking around, I couldn’t give the money back to anyone. There’s absolutely zero financial oversight on how branches are run or how funds are used, it’s actually insane these people call themselves Marxists. Only time I’ve actually received Soros bucks.
