I don’t get why after all these massive document dumps and 60 years of analysis, the evidence being presented is still “this guy in this picture doesn’t look like Oswald” and “the guy in the tape spoke broken Russian but people said Oswald spoke good Russian”. Like, shouldn’t you have something more substantial to bring up in a single interview about the assassination? If I spent decades researching something and had an hour and a half to make my case, I would hope I wouldn’t have to resort to “this picture doesn’t look like the one guy” or “delta force guys told me Dealey Plaza is good for assassination”. It’s all so circumstantial and speculative it’s embarrassing.

The issue is that we don't know because the security state is such a black box. There has been no convincing explanation from the state, and as more information does get declassified the initial explanations look less convincing. The CIA denied that Oswald was ever employed by them until a few months ago when more documents that proved he was were released. Claiming that this is "embarrassing" is crazy to me. Yeah, when you can tell that someone is fucking lying you're gonna do some speculation, that's normal shit.

What's the one data point that is your smoking gun for the JFK assassination? The one detail that most convinces you of a conspiracy? For me, it might be the Mexico City stuff. Because there's a photo. The CIA said to LBJ they had a photo and recording of Oswald. And I think J Edgar Hoover is even on tape saying the FBI won't support those conclusions. And now we have the photo and it's so clearly not Oswald. Boom. Some sort of conspiracy. The rest is details.

I understand the impenetrability of the deep state apparatus but after 60 years one would hope there would be a little more hard evidence to go on. For instance, take Ivan Katchanovski’s investigation into the Maidan massacre - he was able to show bullet by bullet using trajectories that the official story of police firing on protesters was a lie and the Maidan revolution was essentially a US deep state backed coup using the massacre as a false flag. I’ve never seen anything close to that level of detail on the JFK assassination. There seem to be as many configurations of who shot from where as there are JFK assassination theorists. You’d think that after all this time somebody would have more than the current crop of speculative insinuations.
