“Cats on mars” is definitely Ed’s unofficial theme. It fits her perfect.

Ed is so silly. Spike is my favorite character cuz he’s jaded and fights like Bruce Lee, but each character is so different it’s just cool to see them band together to form a team of loners. Faye is also very cool & badass. Episode 12 and 13 go together so maybe do 3 eps next week?

Episode 10 is easily one of my favorites. From the music choice like “The Singing Seas,” setting, tone and showing how longing feelings remain when you don’t get that closure yet being mature about it. This episode really made me relate to Jet. It’s interesting how Jet’s life would of played out if she was able to communicate those issues to Jet while they were together

Ve

I will never forgive Jet's ex.

Jet is my fav character in this show and Ganymede Elegy is my favorite episode. The music it plays when Jet is chasing them down hits me every time.

The character Yuri Kellerman's voice is based on the actor Peter Lorre. There is a long history of characters based on him in animation.

It's not unofficial xD Every single episode is carefully curated around a specific music genre, with a song dedicated to the characters, the story, the world that we're being introduced to or diving deeper into. Music is the absolute underlying theme behind everything, which is why the genre is named in the title of each particular episode. Some episode titles are straight up name the genre, some allude to a particular song that is iconic of a genre.. but they're always about a theme that is central to the story that is being told. Like everything in bebop.. everything is intentional. Every word, every song, every scene.

yeah you said it. The Bruce Lee ode is important. Fluid like water.. with the sweeping kicks. There is a monstrous amount of odes and references to culture and history throughout bebop. You could say that it is a record of the times... a time period that tends to be highly regarded for good reason. Cowboy Bebop itself is like a chronicle of real life people and events that held deep meaning. For example, many of the bounties were based on real life criminals... we haven't reached the most obvious one yet... but I'll just give the slightest hint that's not a spoiler. Teddy. Who's that based on?
