I always liked the Sound 4 so Im happy to have them back here, would have been a shame if they were forgotten since they played a significant role in the OG series :) that Neji and Hinata episode was very lovely :) also fun fact her sister's name, Hanabi, means fireworks :)

I commend you and the viewers for being able to watch the filler. It shows a level of patience, and ZEN, that I have never achieved. Ever since my first time seeing Naruto use his brand new A-Rank jutsu (rasengan) to stir ramen for a ramen competition or something, I knew Naruto filler wasn't for me lol.

Hope you like to dance 🕺

The thing about filler arcs and episodes in general is about whether or not you know they are fillers, because I think it's more palatable if you're already aware of when the plot pauses and when it will resume. There's comfort in knowing that you have a choice to skip the slop and resume the story, or you can leisurely watch it all as fun side content; use it as a build up so that when the main dish arrives it presents itself to you like a reward of sorts, an extra dopamine rush if you will. But oh...my...God was it beyond infuriating back then, and our only respite was coming up with fan theories and having fun with them. Some were stupid and some were so brilliant, I dearly wished Kishimoto had included them in there, but I digress. Watching these episodes again with you, I've come to realize that I, while still not necessarily liking them, can at least understand the appeal of these episodes and even enjoy watching them as part of the community rather than by myself, and I think that's nice.

YIKES that was a long time ago lol You've missed some incredible filler episodes I'll be honest. Hopefully you chose to explore them and give some a second chance by watching along with me!

I'm sure, must of been hell back then lol But being given these moments in the war where they expand on the material and show what happened, is really nice! Spending time with more characters, and it's better to me than panning away for a moment, and going back and seeing that they've already handled it. Nah - I wanna see it! So I appreciate these episodes a lot.

Ramen episode was the one filler that stuck with me as a kid. Such an essential part of narutos life so it's nice we got a dedicated episode. I also may or may not just really fucking like food in anime.....
