I just caught up with the anime and it's great to watch the early episodes again, especially now that I have to wait a week to see a next episode every time. I love this anime and I really enjoy seeing others falling for it as well.

The 7 warlords were a way for pirates to deal with other pirates. It’s more of a power balance for them. They don’t give some money to the Navy. They work for the world government. The navy also works under the world government. The seven warlords have more leeway for the stuff they do than most. In return, their bounty’s get frozen and protection from being hunted down and brought in.

I love Miss All Sunday. Her cowboy hat oufit is cool. I also love the way she talks, theres a way her japanese voice actress finishes some words that just sounds nice. I remember talking to a friend about how much I like her voice and he didn't know because he'd only ever seen the english dub. Japanese Miss All Sunday voice is good.

I like that the way says "he is a great person" while Nami comforting Vivi. Igaram has prepared to die on his trip. But, is it really a "proper way" to die? Luffy is an emotional character, and it is so far our first time see he feels the weight of responsibility.

In addition to not wanting Miss All Sunday to decide the course of the ship, I think Luffy also took offense to being suggested to go to an island where nothing goes on (the "nothing at all island" was a literal translation of what the island is named). Luffy loves adventures so going to said island doesn't sound enticing. But now that the Eternal Log Pose is destroyed it's unlikely we'll find out whether she was trying to help or lure them into a trap.

Just a heads up, Nami's Voice Actor was on temporary maternity leave for only the span of the next arc, which you haven't reached just yet, and replaced with Nojiko's VA trying to imitate. Honestly it took years for me to notice so maybe you will not even realize.

I love this whole arc! Princess Vivi is awesome, and I love when the OG trio is out about and doing things together. These 3 are up and doing all this stuff and getting mixed up in a civil War against a Warlord lol.

No, but maybe volume 16? I’m not sure, but it was an early one I’m pretty sure. The one piece wiki has each volume of sbs there. So just look up one piece sbs volume (blank) and you should find it eventually.

You've heard of real life buccaneers? They were legalised pirates. For example: if the English were at war with the French (they usually were), the English would give some pirates a letter of marque each, which was basically a license to be pirates as long as they were attacking French ships. That's the real life basis for the 7 Warlords, or Shichi Bukai. Pirates who work for the government.

Miss All Sunday is here. \o/ Also, it's interesting to see how Luffy acts as captain when he has to. Most of the time he's playful, but when someone tries to tell him which course his ship should take, he promptly says, “You're not the one who decides the course of this ship.”

i should explain the behind the scenes events that happened in this arc whisky peak during the middle of the arc, after zoro kicked the shit out of everyone, oda had the idea of a kingdom in danger, and the straw hats meeting a royal family member so he needed to build up to that, so he thought miss Wednesday looked princessy enough and decided to use her, changing her from one time villian to a major character in disguise half way through the arc, which you can see the change in her facial appearance when it was revealed who she was and when her hair went down another thing was, at the same time, the higher ups of Shonen wanted oda to do a luffy vs zoro fight, cause i think it was a popular discussion back then so oda wanted to get it over with and dropped it during this fight. so if your wondering how crazy of a turn this arc took, these are the reasons why. all of this happened right after zoro kicked 100 bounty hunter asses

a LOT of people are going to try to tell you that the luffy v zoro fight was the fault of an editor or some higher up who wanted to see it happen and oda was simply appeasing his bosses. this is COMPLETELY UNTRUE. i've been a one piece fan for over a decade now, and this claim keeps getting repeated despite the fact that there is NO EVIDENCE FOR IT. oda has never said that this is what happened in any interview or in any of the question-corners he's done, it is purely fan speculation for which i blame a certain youtuber. TotallyNotMark did a one piece review series back in 2020 which garnered a millions of views and during his whiskey peak section he openly speculated that Jump editorial was responsible for the luffy/zoro fight and many of his viewers took it as gospel and spread it throughout the internet. in my opinion he's also responsible for the wave of negative attention that fight gets. in the manga it's a basically just a gag that lasts one chapter. i don't remember anyone caring at all before TNM dropped his video talking about it as though it were a violation of the Geneva convention. i think there are two things going on here: one, TNM was new to the series and hadn't yet realized that sometimes oda just wants to joke around with his characters and two, people online are in a fandom. not for one piece but for it's author. people like to shift blame away from oda onto jump editorial anytime there's something in the series they don't like. TNM convinced them that this was a serious fight and they shouldn't like it, so they latched onto his speculation and shifted blame onto the editorial staff of the magazine.
