Zero wasn't necessarily evil. It is just that after he accidentally killed another Hero, all of his trust turned into fear and corrupted him. That is what they were explaining in this episode. You have actually seen Zero already. He was in E-Soul's PV. You might see that PV in a different light now if you watch it again.

idk if you noticed but, that was Nuonuo in the hospital bed and is in a coma. It was Loli that was the most affected by this event, basically losing 3 people close to her all in 1 night. Her father and childhood friend are dead. Then her best friend is in a coma showing no signs of waking

Some context: So the reason we see Johnny at the Commission with Zac and Micky is because Johnny leaves FOMO and joins DOS after this, presumably to get closer to Micky since he suspects him The guys in black suits with red eyes that showed up at the Ruins incident were Phobiaclone, although now he’s just a mindless puppet for Shand. While airing, it was a popular theory that these guys were Phobiaclone until after the series ended that it was straight up confirmed (he’s also not in whatever attire he wore as a hero which is why no one recognizes him) About Zero, not much to clarify for him yet. Since you asked, I will say that yes you are slightly misinterpreting Vortex’s words. He does say “since Downfall, humanity will never again receive powers that surpass the gods” which can be interpreted as multiple people, but it was indeed only Zero But anyways W reaction as always 🙌

To be fair to e soul at this point all he did wrong was get groomed by what he thought was his one support system, while ghostblade has killed probably around 200 people just because some billionaires didn’t like them and he didn’t want to be around his family who’s the real “villain” These two VAs are destined to fight forever Loli vs Nice Aira vs Okarun Gabi vs Falco Also Rock is just making assumptions since he wasn’t in charge of MG it was Mr. Shand (tree man) doing all that stuff with GB back then

Sheng and vortex conversation was about people not being able to gain god-like powers. The god like powers is the important point here. He is referring to zero gaining god-like power the downfall incident. which is the reason why commission was created to restrict the trust value people gain. Hence why they were eager to get that research to be able to do that. The word granted is more of grand way to say obtained. We have always known trust as something naturally existing in the world. Which feels very alien-like due to it showing numbers to people.

The show, upto this point implies that if your trust value is high enough you can acquire god-like powers which seems to have happened to Zero. Aftwards the commission regulates this balance so another like Zero individual doesn't appear

Just a small reminder that Ghostblade volunteered for this mission because of Nuonuo. I don't think even Rock knows that Nuonuo is his daughter. I think Ghostblade is walking away from MG because this incident has shown him that anyone including his own daughter can be targeted and he's not willing to do that anymore.

02:00 This has to do with Crunchyroll misunderstanding the line from EP8 and later localizing heroes' names without going back and correcting the translation errors. The original line in Chinese goes like, "... (the plane crashed) was because of Hero Split and Whirlpool's struggle that it happened," and then the line is interpreted as "it was caused by the whirlpool of conflict(Split) between heroes." In the later episodes, Split is localized as Phobiaclone (probably because he was under Shand's Fear research while capable of splitting) and Whirlpool is localized as Vortex (and The Glimmer Lab was mistranslated as The Aether Lab in EP8 too.)

Loli not only lost his father and his childhoodfriend, unfortunately if u see near the end at the hospital its nuonuo in coma with her mother and ghostblade left her whisper flowers, (we see him buying them before that scene)

I'm surprised no one noticed but in the end of new e-soul and old e-souls battle, new e-soul was the last one standing and if you look closely, his arm is missing, probably because it's his arm that he used to punch old e-soul and old e-soul's ult still hit him cutting his arm.

With what we know how the world functions, and the merging of the trust values of eSoul after their battle, why wouldnt we expect just a younger version of the old eSoul. We know that the fans had an image of eSoul in their mind (old and new), an image that was shaped specifically by advertisement from Rock. If they simply merge into one person, you basically would be left with just a younger eSoul, but stronger, since his Trust value was combined of two heroes. Rock simply set in motion to make himself a younger and more powerful assassin that he can control.

The Corporations want order and control. Trust can give you any power and ability the population sees in you. We have seen that. Apply that logic to world leaders for a second becoming actually smarter, more charismatic. But if the population looses faith in you, you just as easily loose those abilities. The Trust System is fickle and cannot be fully controlled. They allow a Hero like Queen state that she wants to replace the Trust-System, because the Corporations want that as well. Just not the same way Queen would probably would want to change the world. Fear can do that. Thats why they are looking into fear. It would give them perfect control and order. Fear is what gives the leaders of our world so much control and is the reason our world is in the shape it is.

If you have time I would recommend re-watching the E-soul pv. It shows the Downfall event and the battle between Zero and the OG E-Soul. You will have a different perspective on the PV after all this information. Zero was “created” by Rock’s father. Zero was killed by the OG E-Soul. Rock groomed Yang Chong to take on and eventually kill the OG E-soul. Now Rock has a fake E-soul that he can control. At the end of the PV you see two E-souls facing each other. So, much in that PV. Also, Ghostblade in the end protecting Little Johnny from E-Soul. Sheng did tell GB to let his son go.

feel free to call this batch the Ruins arc thats what people know it as mostly :D its cute seeing Ghostblade and Nuonuo finally bond :) to be fair Ghostblade did start crying a bit so he was affected to some extent :) Rock has two very cold heroes under him, perfectly fitting :D so I guess Rock was just feeding random bullshit to Ghostblade cause he didnt want him to know about Big Johnny being an alien, thats why he was mentioning the whole man made creature breeding stuff, its actually all about the fact that Sheng took Big Johnny and hid him :) but we know Ghostblade didnt volunteer because of that, he just wanted to see his daughter :D love the shock when E-Soul appeared and then the Nice jumpscare was just perfect xD Shang and Nice are doing a great job looking menacing and creepy :D they mentioned the Dawnfall incident and that after that the Commission was created, so I guess something made them want to have more control :) E-Soul having an artificial arm truly came in handy, poor Ghostblade didnt expect that :P finally we are getting context to Zero and ye its quite overwhelming :) now we know what the symbol on the back of the hero cards means :) felt really satisfying seeing this all finally come together after all the build up during the arcs :D Queen with one of the most epic entrances ever :) honestly I would say behind X the strongest heroes are Queen and E-Soul they are very tough to beat, Johnnies can be in the conversation but its very reliant on Big Johnny transforming :) guess now the public knows about him too :P nice you spotted your boy Lin :D I like how they are portraying the power of the media here and whats possible :) RIP professor Luo, wonder how thats gonna affect Loli, also poor Nuonuo in the hospital

I always thought that Sheng was going through the woods looking for Johnny when Ghostblade killed him, because one of the last things Vortex did before leaving was threaten Johnny, and then Johnny had run into the woods. And then Sheng's last words were to beg to leave Johnny alone.
