It's telling of the quality of this filler arc that so many people recommend watching it before starting the water 7 saga, because the next saga is frequently considered one of the best in the series.

For some reason I'm experiencing some lagging in this video since it got uploaded. It looks like my internet connection is completely fine, other videos even the longer ones play with no issue at all same as videos from other pages. I tried changing the quality and doesn't matter if I play 1080p or 540p, it still lags the same. Sound is completely fine, but the video freezes briefly every few seconds. It never happened with the videos I've been watching on Patreon before. Does anyone know what might be the issue?

Yeah a filler arc being popular is very telling about its quality. And a rare feat it even got good animators and directors, even a legendary one for one episode. Another rarer occurrence for fillers

tried swapping browser or device for that one video ? One rare occasion cache loading might be messed up on some connections and settings. Maybe even try browsing in an Incognito or private browsing window. This would usually disable extensions, clear cache and cookies

This is typically agreed to be the best filler arc in One Piece for how it plays with the crew and what they're facing. I personally like all the filler between Alabasta and the arc after this, but G8 is something really special.

I also enjoy LRLL arc. I thought it was another fun breather between major arcs where the characters just get to have fun and goof around without having to worry about their lives all the time. Idk, personally, more than for all the fights and story progression, I'm watching One Piece for the characters, their storyarcs and their relationships and struggles. I see this arc as more like a vacation for the Straw Hats and I'm loving that it's so much more calmer and isn't that action-packed and tense. LRLL may be a bit annoying at times, but I personally am loving it.

nobody is forgetting DBF/LRR, it's not a filler arc but canon. Except with additional filler eps. I never liked it, even in manga form, and despite one popular "visual and look" tied to it. It happens. I just can't enjoy it. And i still enjoy comedy or smaller breather arcs (hell again G8 fulfill that goal easily better) , i just can't vibe with that specific arc

I know that the next arc is based on the manga. I also know that filler is the part of the anime that is not based on the manga. That is clear to everyone, and it is also clear from my comment. I was pointing out that this arc, which Flexie started, even though it's filler, is good and is the best filler arc (for me), and that what follows, even though it's based on the manga, is so bad for me (it may not be for others) that I would say it must be filler. Even though I know it's not, my point is that, in terms of quality, it's worse than many fillers for me. Hopefully, you now understand what I meant by my comment, and if it was just meant to be a "funny comment" on your part, you can keep the next one to yourself.

I don’t know why people always say, "One Piece isn't just about fighting and action or big arcs; it's nice to have comedy and fun adventures," whenever someone dislikes something like LRR/DBF. It’s a moot and poor argument. Barring a few idiots, we are One Piece fans; we know the score. Comedy and adventure are inherently major parts of it. I can just as easily point to better comedy or smaller arcs; that’s all. I just think that one only has being canon as its main selling point, and it would not really be defended if it were full-on filler. In fact, the actual filler is better comedy, a better adventure, and a better story imho. Different strokes, etc.

Episode 199 is directed by Mamoru Hosoda. He also directed the sixth One Piece movie: Baron Omatsuri and the Secret Island. He then went on to direct memorable anime films like Summer Wars, Wolf Children, Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Mirai, Belle, and etc. He originally was selected to direct Studio Ghibli’s adaptation of Howl’s Moving Castle but it fell through and Hayao Miyazaki decided to direct it instead. The project fell-through for Mamoru Hosoda was a terrible one and left him in depressed state. With no job or work, he went back to Toei Animation (where he first started his career) to try to pitch movies but were ultimately turned down and for personal reasons, he started questioning his career and working in the industry. In 2005, he directed One Piece: Baron Omatsuri and the Secret Island and left Toei. By 2006, his second feature, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, released to critical acclaim and success, launching him to career stardom and with each next film release, he was becoming an established anime director. In 2019, his film Mirai was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature Film.

What i would question is not so much the doctors being all on leave with her around, but the "how is she even a doctor" lol. Even if her field was pediatrics, kids get hurts and bruised all the time, and you will see blood no matter what, even without surgery. Also, you'd think even on a basic general study course, they'd have some basic surgery training.

Marie Jois is the capital of the World Government where the castle where the Five Elders (Supreme Authorities of the World Government) reside. It’s also where the meeting with the Seven Warlords took place. Marine HQ you have seen and it’s where Coby is currently training with Helmeppo. It looks heavily Japanese inspired. That’s a separate place. Fleet Admiral Sengoku (the head of the marines/navy) guy with the pet goat and wears the Seagull Hat and Vice Admiral Tsuru (the old woman who was sitting at the table at the warlord meeting) were present at Marie Jois for the warlord meeting. The Navy and 7 Warlords are separate entities that will work together under the leadership of the World Government. So, the Five Elders basically run the world and decide the warlords. While the Navy is obedient to them. Think of the 5 Elders like Sengoku’s (the fleet admiral) bosses. This is all information given in episode 150. Nothing spoiler-related. Just A LOT happened in that episode.

The fact that you assuming means you haven't been actively keeping up with flexies reactions and not paying much attention to One Piece either. I guess its okay if watching that way suites you but be respectful atleast and dont comment if you're not sure because u may end up spoiling flexie like you're currently doing. I think you misunderstood the situation at G8 with the doctors. This is a base that rarely sees any action, nothing ever happens here. So all the doctors being gone isn't so shocking. The injured Marines are from somewhere else.
