First of all, great reaction. Second, here's one of the main reasons why X is so beloved, and it's not just his power and style, but because he's genuinely a good person. We have this system that chains heroes; public perception defines them. Corporations control them. Everything is fake, manufactured, with fear being used as a weapon. We've been seeing it in the story arcs: heroism is practically nonexistent. But suddenly we have a guy who breaks all the rules, who doesn't obey the system, who isn't limited by it. But most importantly, he does it because he genuinely wants to help people. And that's refreshing; it gives hope that maybe all is not lost, and true heroes do exist in this world. Note: If you listen to the lyrics of the opening theme, it's Hero X. There we can see his objective and thoughts, even though he says here that he doesn't want to be a hero, or that he'd prefer to be a normal person. He's a hero because it's necessary. This will be explored in more depth in the season finale, but for now, this is an incredible introduction to his true character behind the mystery of all the previous arcs.

Great reaction! Fun fact: Dragon Boy’s markings represent the body’s chakra points; stated by one of the writers. It makes sense considering what his powers are. Can’t wait for the finale! Better prepare yourself.

Smile’s wife says their daughter doesn’t smile. Dragon boy shows up with a locket with his daughter smiling. Dragon Boy puts the locket on Smile. X takes the locket from Smile. Rock notices the locket and says I’ve caught you. Either Smile’s wife is lying about his daughter smiling or the picture is a fake

The message was that the daughter wasn't smiling because he wasn't with her. The daughter's necklace depicts him smiling, so she wouldn't forget that her father made her smile. Basically, the wife gave the necklaces to both of them so they wouldn't forget each other and the impact they had on their lives.

A curious fact: when this episode was released simultaneously for everyone, the Brazilian version of the scene where the dragon boy gets kicked around by the other kids on the ice ended up with the wrong audio. Instead of the original track, they played voices from the Brazilian dub of Rent-a-Girlfriend. I even remember the anime’s director reacting to it.

It’s 20 or more years newer than Dragon Ball, Gundam, Sailor Moon in Japan and I would consider it one of the new gen anime in the west since it was new 10 years after most of those shows first got popular in the west But it’s more a classic when counting back from current day

Sorry the way Rock touches Dragon boy is just creepy. Absolutely,cringe. Poor Nice has had it rough, and currently had many reasons to do what he did. The CEOs manipulating grooming these young men. The fast back the Shand has is of his son when he was murdered during the E-soul arc. All I can say is if you LOVE this Donghua then you must check out “Link Click” whiz is directed by the same director for TBHX. It to has great story telling and a unique plot. Hoalin’s works are thought provoking.

Idk if this is a dumb idea but since i've seen you react to the openings and rank them when you finish a series, maybe for TBHX you could rank the character specific OSTs? Since each character has their own OST it could be fun and they are great!

The kid that you saw die in episode 21, with E soul mask was Young E soul’s best friend who died in episode 6. The kid is Shand’s son, and Shand wants revenge against rock for plotting his son’s death.

When I first saw this moment I hadnt watched his special PV but I immediately thought of one thing about his power: its related to breaking the 4th wall. That moment where he "ripped" dragon boy to me is just him literally "ripping a frame" out of the animation and crumples it. Which would explain all the animation changing with his power because he is literally manipulating the animation frame, I think this becomes more apparent in his special PV. This is probably the reason why no one really understands his power and just saw the after effect (the spectators wondering how dragon boy just suddenly appeared in the river, and Queen unable to comprehend how she was defeated), because everyone else is constrained within the animation while he has the power to manipulate the very animation, aka reality, that they are in. I think it's very busted but also very interesting and fun to watch, I always love it when a character in a media has a power related to breaking the 4th wall.

safe to say Rock is quite obsessed with the whole god thing :D crazy how it all of a sudden makes sense why Dragon Boy let those guys at the beginning beat him up first before retaliating, his ability is pretty hardcore :) poor Smile he is getting the same treatment here as E-Soul, treated like a has been, a piece of trash, Rock is the biggest trash :P remember Shand wants revenge for the death of his son, he knows what Rock did, that whole E-Soul disaster :) once again the choice to cast Madara's VA for Shand is just perfect, its literally Madara and Obito all over again :D once again it makes sense why Nice turned out the way he did, poor guy :P we are finally seeing X in his natural habitat, as expected he is hiding his alter ego well and is just a chill dude :D we can see him walking around those parts in the opening :) Smile and X being bros, that scene was great, also just added to the tragedy :) they emphasized that self-believe thing again here, just like with Johnny's father, Smile wasnt as strong when he started wavering got rid of his smile, it definitely seems that the whole Trust thing goes both ways :) well if Rock wants somebody who can endure pain then Dragon Boy is definitely his guy :D that scene with Shand puppeting Nice was so dope and unsettling, love how they did that :) felt really bad for Smile, his fate was even more tragic than E-Soul's :P we have heard about the Smile incident before during the first arc, they briefly mentioned it in the first couple of episodes :) interesting design choice for Dragon Boy, he looks like a sort of elf/goblin creature in that awakened mode :D talk about shitty upbringing too :P X with the coldest entrance yet, the way he just took out Dragon Boy like trash was epic :D now X is mad, that makes the future extra exciting :) feel free to rewatch all the PVs once you are done with the show, would honestly be fun going through them with you again and hearing your thoughts knowing more :)

As we are existing in a 3d world, we couldnt actually comprehend how existence in other Dimensions would actually be like. We can draw on paper, which is the equivalence of 2D, but actually living in it? Incomprehensible. And X's Animation is pretty much trying to bridge that gap. If you could simply change all of existence by "changing the perspective", it would be wild. He is not bound by the third dimension. Maybe not even bound by any dimension?

Wow, it is rare for Flexie to read a line and seemingly not processing it. When Smile said " Your realistic side is to realistic" Flexie read it aloud. But the next line which hold so much more info is seemingly not realised:"You should snap your fingers and chatting me using your other self" as Flexie isn't commenting on it during her brainstorming if this is X or not. Such a rare moment for our Sequence 6 Analyzer. This is fun as well.

1:25:12 Fun fact: X actually burps here from taking too much alcohol with this scene in other language versions, but he doesn't burp in the Japanese version and this makes him look like he yarns here.

I think it's best not to think about 2D vs 3D. Instead think of all the different animation styles. for example from the 2D in luck cyan the animation is different than loli's 2D animation. Like compare how Queen looks in every arc you will see she looks very different despite it all being 2D.
