This show is something special in the way that there's no true hostility between any of the team, sure its competitive, but they all acknowledge each other because of their shared passions. Its so wholesome and refreshing compared to other anime with their toxic relationships between characters. I can remember being in little league, at a tournament, and one of my best friends was on another team, and we were both pretty bad. But his team wasn't even playing us, and my buddy got a great hit, and I was cheering like crazy and several of my teammates were aghast and pissed that I was cheering for another team, even after I explained he was my friend. That's not how it should work, and if any of my experiences were like the teams in this show, I might have stuck with a sport instead of giving them all up. Can't complain too much because then I went into theater, and that's a community worth being apart of.

Today's name drop is Bokuto's partner in crime, Keiji Akaashi. Akaashi is short for "Akaashi Mori Fukurou" which is a "Rufous-legged Owl" so both Bokuto and Akaashi are named after owls. How fitting! The characters used for Keiji are "Capital" and "Cure/Govern."

Just to clarify with Kageyama, he’s been working on this new toss specifically FOR HINATA. No one else! He took Oikawa's words to heart and has been working his ass off to give Hinata his minuscule chance that he asked for. So yes Kageyama was visualizing him as the spiker because this toss is FOR him and their freak quick 😂 That's why their interactions this episode were sooo endearing to me 🥰 Hinata got mad at Kageyama because he "took it easy" on him (subconsciously) and Hinata did NOT want that. He wants the challenge, he wants to get this play in sync, so he doesn't want Kageyama to back down. The fact that Hinata noticed that is insane, but of course he would. Gone are the days of "I'll take any toss you give me, gratefully" NOT ANYMORE the Baby Crow has demands now. And their conversation at the end is actually incredibly sweet from Kageyama. He started working by himself again because on his end the toss still was not perfect. He was worried Hinata would keep missing because of HIM, and would continue to be frustrated. Which is why Hinata replies with "you freak me out when you worry about others” and why Yachi also freaked out. "is this us making up" YES YES IT IS aren't they so stupid and cute!! 🥰

About 7 years ago Haikyu inspired me to start playing volleyball. I was about 32 years old at the time, looking for a sport to do in order to lose some weight. Made me remember I was quite okay at volleyball back in high school (normal PE, no club). So basically, I started to really get into volleyball and actually learned much about the sport just from watching Haikyu. Still playing today. Watching games from our local women's Bundesliga (German premiere league) team. Haikyu really made my life richer. I got to know so many cool people by playing that sport. Also played a part in inspiring me to change careers. I'm going to be a physical therapist soon. Talk about having an impact...
