Yes! I love the upcoming episodes!!! Zombie Luffy vs the Straw Hat Crew - FIGHT! Its worth reminding that it may appear strange that Luffy isnt using Gear 2 and 3 on enemies but you got to remember at this stage it puts incredible strain on his body and shortens years of his life!

Zoro is likely pretending the fight didn't happen because Zombie Ryuma was heavily nerfed. It was his body, but without access to his actual skillset, and instead "stuck" with Brook's style, which is essentially fencing—a more delicate style that doesn't fit Ryuma's. Like they said, both Ryuma and Zoro had similar templates. He knows he can't say he actually fought Ryuma, but a distant shadow (lol) instead.

In Hogback's flashback to where he met Moria 10 years ago, we saw that Perona was already a part of the crew. Perona's 23 now which means that she was already w/ him at the age of 13 making him somewhat of a father figure to her.

I'm wondering what Felxie's beef is with Pearl. He was such a minor character who got defeated so fast, i never thought he'd make such a big impact on anyone. :D

I mean, some characters, even when minor, leave a strong negative mark. Pearl, Wanze (nasty ramen), and especially Satori (Ball Ordeal fool) felt like incredibly lame characters spawned straight out of the worst fillers, despite being pure canon. Imagine how lame a character has to be to even overshadow cool moments like Sanji's backstory, or the introduction of cool lore elements like Mantra? And it didn't feel brief—they all lasted longer than an episode, which was infuriating for many of us.

To be fair, so far, Absalom is the only one up there—alongside Spandam, I believe?—for being such an awful, filthy, irredeemable character, and not just lame like some of the other villains. Nobody expects Oda to give him a redemption arc or anything moving.

Oh, I get that they are annoying or infuriating, I was just wondering which part of Pearl's "performance" left such a big mark that he's getting mentioned beside Spam for example, but Wanze and Satori do not, while they had a lot more screen time. Don't get me wrong, this is not a complaint. I'm just genuinely curious, as Pearl got mentioned twice in the last 2 or 3 reactions if I'm not mistaken. Although I'll try to figure it out by rewatching the Baratie reactions later today. :) Also Nazumi got mentioned by her, and I do understand that one, even tho I don't think he got more screen time than Pearl. So who knows, it could be just personal "preferences"

Luffy looks chibi when he's chasing Moria because Moria is over 26 feet tall, while Luffy is in the 5'7" to 5'9" range. Also, he's quite a bit behind Moria, which makes Luffy look even smaller. Every time I see these 2 episodes, I really wish that suplex would've landed

Without getting too much into the power scaling, I think the reason why Zoro would rather pretend like this fight never happened is exactly because he knows that he technically never fought Ryuma. He fought a reanimated corpse with a entirely different personality and fighting style. He never fought Ryuma. He fought Brook's shadow.

I think Zoro pretends the fight did not happen is because it was not really him who he has beaten but just a zombie with brooks shadow.

I have to imagine the attempts at feeding the zombies salt are moving faster in real-time and Toei's just slowing it down for dramatic effect. That's my headcanon at least

So, I do feel a little bit bad for Hogback... his past self, that is. I think he really did love her. He went to great lengths to bring her back. At some point he probably had to come to terms that she was really gone and that what they brought back was not her. Kind of like Pet Cemetery. LOL
