The dub va's are good but not close to the original va's, but the narrator in the dub makes the dub awful. He is too silly. Stick with the sub on this one

You should definitely check out some of the dub at some point! I wonder how you'd feel about the narrators VA. I'm typically not a fan of dubs but loved this one. Enjoying subbed as well, but it's honestly hard to keep up when things get crazy 😆

I personally hate the dub with a burning passion of a thousand suns. I just can't stand the narrator and the emotinal parts just don't hit the same. And Kaguyas Jap VA is simply too good. But you must do, what is best for you :)

Dub trades fantastic Performance of japanese va for Kaguya for a fantastic change to the character of narrator. They are simply both worth watching.

I never like dubs and I can't picture myself being able to sit through a dub watch along. It just feels wrong to me. You should do what you wanna do Flexie but if you were to ask people if they'd be willing to watch it dub... my answer would be no. I would personally go do something else <3

Totally your call of course, but my vote would be stick with Sub - the Japanese VAs absolutely take these characters up a notch for me and as others have said the Dub loses some of the depth and heart of the romance side and leans more zany. Both are incredible in their own ways!

I don't think that the dub is bad overall, it is pretty good actually but to me the issue with the dub is the narrator. He is very funny but I think the he mischaracterize Kaguya a lot and changes the tone of the series very often for the sake of being funny in English.

Most people like the dub only because of the narrator (which is only the one good va for the dub) but the sub for the characters are better and they are the ones that people grow to love the show for.

The Latin American Spanish dub is also really good — that's actually how I watched the series. However, I still prefer reactions with the original Japanese audio and subtitles because I think it's a more neutral option for everyone watching your channel. Maybe those of us who speak other languages are a minority, but I think keeping the original audio helps avoid unnecessary arguments about which dub or language is better.

Dub is good but ONLY for a rewatch. Watch the sub to get the story and stuff first. After watching everything you can regarding this series, then rewatch in dub. Not saying dub is bad, usually I hate most dubs, but the dub for this show has a different "attitude" (good thing).

They feel like isolated bits at first, the episodes start being much more connected and having a nice flow to them fairly quickly.

Actually it turns out the friendzone isn't a bad thing when it comes to love. Considering the grim dating climate we're actually getting some studies on love. It's a good marker of someone finding lasting love for adults. They've found some stipulations though and definitions. It's a slow process, a few years vs a few months. Both have to be able to respect the friendzone. Behaviors meant to get out of the friendzone basically ruin any chance of it getting somewhere. What leads to the change in relationship is overwhelmingly an event in time rather than small movements. My advice to other people hasn't really changed. Focus on making friends, be curious about people. Work on your insecurities, put time into things you love. Desperation is what's most toxic to your chances and close friendship is the antidote to loneliness, not a girlfriend, wife. To me love is something you seek when you want to share, invite someone into the life you're building yourself. People should think about how they want to define love. But what's most important of all is that you look for someone you want to be with, which is why you should be open and curious.

For the counting win loose and tie, What i understood from the show, some one win when the situation get beneficial for the person (like receiving a compliment or the other person taking a smaller step to confess their love) and the loose are the same (when the situation brings you worse that your starting point). So you have to keep in mind that somebody can eitheir win, loose or neutral (like they didnt get anything from the situation) So you can have a win win, a loose loose, a win loose, individual win or loose (like one win or loose but the other person is confused or did nothing special from their pov, which im calling neutral) Feel like im way too much theorycrafting how this silly system might work but there you go !

Kaguya 's Japanese Voice actor is incredible in this. She makes the English-speaking actress look bad by comparison though she isn't bad. Same for Chika. The male leads for both are great and about the same. Recent dubs have been bad but this one is good. I just can't sit through the narrator again. O ce was more than enough for me

Sub for first watch to fully understand everything and how its intend, Dub for rewatch and extra fun. Might make for a good reaction video after you've finished the series - reacting to love is war best dub moments (specifically best narrator dub moments)

Yeah, the sub is way better than the dub in this show. I mean, I don't love dubs in general, so I'm kind of biased, but what I've heard of this show's dub is dowright cringe, and the original Japanese voice cast is SO GOOD.

I like the dub and sub equally, for different reasons, so I'll be watching these either way. This show can definitely be easier to follow in one's native language. But also, I think most of your Patreon subscribers probably don't mind if you need to pause more than usual. Either is valid IMO. And yeah, the ED is great. *Every* OP and ED for this show is great. I have a big soft spot for the music used in the first ED though.

I find it interesting how most of the comments I've read here in this reaction video are from people who don't like the dubbed version of anime at all. It's interesting to me because here in Brazil, we (a large part of the audience) love the dubbing of anime, movies, and other things too. Of course, there will be some that are bad, but that applies to everything in life. But the perception I have of the English-speaking audience with their dubbed version is very different from that of us in Brazil with our Brazilian version. Personally, in anime like One Piece and Bleach, I was more moved watching the Brazilian dubbed version. And some might tell me it's because I'm used to the Brazilian dubbed version, but I've watched more subtitled anime than dubbed ones, and even so, I always look for and love watching the dubbed version of a new anime when it's released. Sometimes I only watch the Brazilian dubbed version.

The Dub and Sub are completely different shows, with a lot of the one liners being COMPLTELY localized to the point where they are not even the same jokes. It's good it its own right, but I would reccomend watching the Subbed of an episode before watching the same episode in Dubbed

I LOVE kaguya sama. It is one of my favourite animes. I'm devastated that they stopped after the movie and made it like an OVA so while that episode is good, they skipped over 100-130 chapters to come to that timeline in where the OVA is based on. I'm excited to see your reaction to season 3 though, and my favourite character moments

Dub is close to sub and sometimes better (depends on a person). But English Narrator ruins it for me. Japanese one is perfect, the English one is one you either love or hate.

The dub is too random comedy for me. It's fun as an extra but the emotional vibes but harder in jp imo. This show has a minority if fans that love the dub narrator because he's insanely over the top. But I'm not in that group.

This show does start very "random shit, random event etc...", but I think mid s1 is when it really hooks you. Unfortunately, kaguya is a series that will not be fully adapted but the three seasons and movie leave you in a satisfied place. There's also a special episode from last year and anotver movie coming which will be somewhat anime original partially. Since there's too much to fully adapt they brought in the manga writer to make a anime ending.
