2026-11-05 03:00 Regarding the awakening/retrieval of memories, CC didn't have to kiss Lelouch to do it, she could just have done the same as she did in the first episode, the kiss was a bonus <3

I remember a long time ago, I came across someone saying that suzaku's switch up on lelouch was thematically inconsistent, and I agreed with that at the time... however, now that I'm older, I see some thematic consistency in it. mainly, that for suzaku's character... by selling out lelouch to the emperor he's basically admitting that the system is corrupt, which is something he's been trying so hard to rationalize in s1. and it also enforces the theme of the empire's ideology being 'might makes right' seen in suzaku displaying emotional strength of sorts... in his determination to reach his goal even at the cost of a loved one. as well as physical strength of course during that exchange between him and lelouch and in front of the emperor. lastly, since the sword of akasha was mentioned this episode, this is a gentle reminder to check out concepts of jungian psychology... and I'll just drop some info abt one of the concepts of akasha which might apply to code geass, since the anime doesn't really get into it much... in Yogācāra Buddhism, perception of distance, depth, and three-dimensional space (Ākāśa, read: Akasha) is viewed as an internal framework created by the mind to organize sensory data, which means that there's basically a "storehouse consciousness" that projects both the sense of a physical body and the "space" around it simultaneously, meaning that outer space and inner consciousness are ultimately non-dual.

THE WAY I DROP EVERYTHING FOR THESE POSTS.

lelouch showing up on live TV and saying "Ive Returned" is one of my favorite moments of the series Also I agree. I STILL don't hate Suzaku. There was never a point at the series where I did.

Tobi.SG

like the previous episode, this episode hits on similar beats to episode 2 from the previous season

That Guy

Yeah it is perfectly consistant with Suzakus character to sell out lelouch for the greater good. It was already shown he would do so with his whole backstory being Killing his own father for the greater good.

Golladan

Volume seems unusually low.

now that i think about it... that too yeah lol

Omokage23

I don't get the Suzaku hate. Oh the Kallen cockpit shots, and there's more to come :D

CheeseMellow

Has anyone ever mentioned spice and wolf? Code Geass and Spice and Wolf are two of my favorite animes and when I see one I think of the other. It's not really related to Code Geass in any way or as exciting but it's still a fun watch.

Gabodee .

This is one of my favorite episodes I rewatched this episode multiple times especially the speech

Stingray

Le-loosh not la-looch lmao

The cliffhanger is pretty mean on this episode! Not sure if you caught what the fake younger brother meant at the end by "I wonder which one I am?" but the Chinese Federation guy with the long hair had asked if he was a Brittanian military person or one of Zero's followers, so that is an interesting thing for him to claim not to be sure of... Also 100% agree on the Suzaku hate making no sense. There was a very specific moment after Euphie died when he said something along the lines of "I'm giving up on doing things the right way/not killing people", so this is just him following through on that. After all, Lelouch was willing to kill his own brother for his goals, so why shouldn't Suzaku turn him in for his? They're kind of both becoming worse but on opposite sides and in different ways, I love the two of them as foils. : )

Yami

She has no idea. Wildest thing is that this is original without manga or manhwa. I wish we could have series like this today.... But its same as Hollywood. Doing risky things isnt a thing these days

Btw I recently discovered the reason Lelouch rides a white horse in the intro is because Napoleon rode a white horse to battle and the intro is defining Lelouch as a generational military mind
