Wow... what a nice episode...

Disentrix

This whole episode is insane and as much as i dislike the song after D learns about everything, it fits the mood really well because of just how entropic it all is

IRT to TT not showing up, I would guess that Kiril is why Avida had it in the first place. He just removed her coverage from his plan, then killed her since she was the only reason Weak/King was involved (doubt he knows Talia's Weak's daughter... or honestly thinks it's a non-issue.) he won't do anything anymore (aside from the Edgerunner requisite revenge run on a megacorp tower) and Kang Tao has both Capricorn and her primary developer. Kiril probably thinks this night was nothing but aces.

It begins. I think we were all bracing for this to some degree. What I like about the title of this episode is that every single character is blinded by their heart. And so they all make decisions without considering consequences, because that’s the one thing they get to really hold onto in a place like Night City. D’s “what do I have left?” is echoed by every single main-ish character this episode. D: Heart for revenge Weak: Heart for Avida Avida: Heart for her daughter Talia: Heart for a future she might not live to see Roman: Heart for the D that he captured on film. Even though he clearly cares about D, the way he frames it is almost that he’s sad he lost the D he caught on film, not D himself, who he doesn’t actually know. (He hears about the camp from Omi, he can’t call him David, either). Roman is sometimes framed almost like the artist who lost his muse, which is interesting in and of itself. Everyone in this show is selfish because they have to be to survive here. And by chasing those things, chasing what their heart tells them is the only thing that matters, which I don’t think is actually wrong at all, they end up causing all kinds of pain to themselves and those around them. Roman doesn’t properly vet Kiyoko before introducing her. Talia and D: Continue to hold on to Capri Weak and Avida try to pull off a plan that was never going to work. D, well, yeah. The heart in each of these cases is pure, but the world of cyberpunk 2077 means you have to pursue your heart’s yearnings in the most painful, twisted ways possible. We all need trauma team.

Weak actually run away from the TT. RIP Avida.

Random pet theory.... Kyoko's face. There appears to be some sort of cyberware that's basically a big metal plate on the front of her face, with no nose, and looks all scratched up. From her temperament, my guess is that she basically had that done because she keeps banging her head every time she gets angry and the plate is there to prevent injuries like breaking her nose, etc.😂😂😂

Great episode, though I'm gonna push back on the chat losing it over women having emotions, like come on now... Avida is annoying and you hate her when she's losing her kid and feeling conflicted about that in a shitty, rigged situation, but D yelling all the time and losing it about his tragic past isn't? Big double standard, just saying. I do totally get the irritation when you can tell a character is doing something that will end badly but full on hate and calling her emotional is a bit much IMO. I like the realism and humanity in these characters, humans often do not act optimally and that shouldn't be disproportionately hated when it's women. Other than really enjoyed the reaction, the art direction is crazy in this one and the colors were amazing. <3

D's mentality when he finds out the reason for the attack on his clan..... "This mess..... my fault?" 😁😁😁
