We made it to Nuremberg! (Patreon)

Hello my Hearties!

I finally sit down after 2 days of travel and 1 day of adapting to our new environment to give you some news!

I left my place at 8:30am on Saturday morning, took 2 flights to reach Venice and then Michele picked me up and we drove to Udine, his hometown. Once at his place we went for a walk in the city (Udine is a very nice town!). I loved feeling like a tourist again and I enjoyed that change of scenery so much! We came home, chilled and made diner and then we crashed in front of “Fate, the Winx Saga” on Netflix, which I had already seen but wanted to share with them for it’s a nice entertainment making you escape in a magical world!

On the next day we took the car off to Nuremberg! We had to gather quite some papers: negative PCR tests, work travel certificates from both Napalm Records and the studio. Meek had to have a special paper for the Italian authorities as he was leaving the region he leaves in… Even though this was extra administrative things to take care of they enabled us to cross borders without issues!

We faced all kinds of weather during this 7h drive from rain to sun to heavy snow! But Meek is a very good and cautious driver and all went fine!

We arrived in the very center of Nuremberg’s old town yesterday evening and were so happy when entering the Air BnB Napalm had booked for us. It’s spacious, bright, clean, comfortable, we felt at home right away!

We cooked for ourselves, worked out for half another together and crashed in front of Fargo (this one is on Amazon Prime). This time, Meek wanted to share with me a series he had already watched but really liked! We went to bed, I slept like a stone 

Today was a day off before the recordings, we went for a walk in the old town, finding out the essential stores we would need during our 2-week stay, as well as enjoying strolling around together in a different country. Something we love to do when we are on tour together. We actually really enjoy this place! The old town of Nuremberg is absolutely worth a visit! So many impressive monuments, cathedrals, stone walls without forgetting the castle itself!

We went home and we practiced singing a bit, using karaoke versions of songs we like to train on. I love Meek’s version of “February Song”! On my side I practiced “Zombie”, “Music”, “Bad Romance”, “Skyfall”, “Elle tu l’aimes”, “Je sais pas” and “Holding out for a Heroe”!

We are having a good time, Meek and I are such good friends, I was looking forward to this time soooo much!

Tomorrow we enter the studio at 10am and this will be when the real thing will get started!! I’m so excited and scared and excited haha!
