January 2026 mail club ⭐️🌀 Awakening (Patreon)

hello! ✨

happy new year everyone! one of the things I'd like to do more of this year is making art with traditional art supplies. in 2025, I challenged myself to try out all sorts of mediums like oil pastels, acrylic and gouache paints, pencil, color pencil...I made art on canvases large and small and experimented with a variety of surfaces. I always learn something new every time I engage with a hands-on medium and love the way it reawakens the magic that creativity sparks within me. here's to a new year of curiosity, playfulness, and noticing all the beauty that surrounds us~!

above: change starts as a small flame within and burns with quiet strength, growing without the need for acknowledgment. it glows warmly and opens to new possibilities with repeated and gentle stoking, new shapes emerging with every cycle. perhaps this piece can serve as a charm, accompanying whatever beginnings you find yourself amidst, unpredicted or expected.

and this month's sticker~ I've been loving the texture of oil pastels and thought it'd be fun to push that look and see where I could take it. I wanted to make something that felt playful and paired well with the random nature of oil pastels, a piece that emphasizes and celebrates spontaneity while releasing the tight vise of control.
