one of those relaxing days~ (Patreon)

was super inspired by moowsiie's drawing and wanted to try out the general technique they used! I didn't really know what to expect going into it, but I'm surprised by how much I enjoyed both the process and result! it has a real graphic novel/comics look that feels warm and lived in. I ended up drawing several people in cute, comfy fits that feel perfect for a relaxing day off or running errands. my own outfits have consisted primarily of comfy clothing the older I get and it's fun to see the characters I draw reflect that shift as well.

I've generally had a hard time doing pen sketches digitally. I used to think it was a matter of finding the right brush, but it always ends up feeling tight and overly controlled in a way I don't experience when sketching on paper. I like that this method allows me the looseness of sketching traditionally and the freedom of playing around with colors and finishes digitally~ ⋆˚✿˖°
