the humble pencil (Patreon)

truly no one does it like her!!

recently did some sketches while out and about and only brought a pencil, eraser, and sketchbook to keep things simple. I'd eventually like to do painting on location, so I'm building up to that. pencil is already so beautifully versatile on its own, so I'm still learning new techniques to get different textures and effects. whether its shading softly on the side for fluffy clouds or trailing in circles for crunchy volume, there are so many ways to convey the variance of one's surroundings through one tool.
