ref board for july! I really wanted to get a period-accurate feel of early 2000s pattern and design, so pulling those references was super helpful. I also wanted to have fun with different poses, which was quite tricky since I want to keep in mind how the piece reads at the finished 4"x6" printed size. it's why I tend to stray from pieces with multiple figures for postcards, but I was really in the mood to switch things up because drawing the same thing all the time gets boring!!

the ideas for the final pieces came together pretty quickly, though the actual execution turned out to be much more laborious. I ended up redrawing the sticker sheet and changing poses several times as well as switching brushes til I came across the right feel. took a lot of trial and error and I'm really happy with where it ended up! I used the brush Swift to ink the stickers and it's an absolute beast of a brush, I love it. perfect balance of texture, randomness, and comfort of use, I gotta sing its praises, because it's so rare I enjoy a brush this much!
