color was my first love (Patreon)

after experimenting with some riso brushes yesterday and partially losing my mind (the riso process does NOT make sense to my brain!!), I picked a random watercolor brush in procreate and did something that came to me naturally. I ended up having a lot of fun making these colorful portraits, so much so that I churned out one after another in a span of like 30 minutes. I've been pushing myself to be more playful with color lately and find that it comes to me easily. I can tell when colors are 'vibrating' well together and every subsequent decision just seems to make sense. other aspects of art like value, composition, linework, etc. I've had to consciously learn and pay attention to, yet color never presented as many hurdles. really pleased with how these turned out and will definitely be using that brush again (I think it's called cascade?) to make more paintings! :o)
