It's not hyperbole. It's that bad. Please keep it cool and civil in the comments here. I try to give an impartial analysis. Thanks your civility and support.

The tariffs are unlikely to recreate a significant physical printing business, dice production, etc. in the US. Labor is too valuable/expensive in the US (which is a good "problem" to have if you are an American human being) and the investments in highly automated equipment just don't make sense... because once the tarriffs go away you'll lose your a*s. For many old guys like me, an increase to the price of the physical products won't be much of a deterence. For others, it will push them more into digital media. Kickstarters will continue, but they might look a little different. The thing people sometimes forget about tarrifs is that US Companies pay them too! Take steel tariffs for example... blocking cheaper foreign steel forces US companies to pay more for steel than their international competitors, causing them to be less competitive in the international market. A steel tariff may protect a few thousand US steel jobs, but it is likely to negatively impact many, many more US jobs through this mechanism. We have many studies demonstrating this, for example with the Bush steel tarrifs. From a gaming lens, these tariffs willl make it relatively more difficult for US gaming companites to export their products to international markets. An OSE product could be sold internationally at a more competitive price than a comparable ShadowDark product, everything else equal. That said, the US is already heavily, heavily, heavily a net importer when it comes to the gaming catagory and the US market is obviuosly a very important one in the RPG world. PS: I am not a Republican nor a Democrat. Further, I respect (and do not hate) people from either party, so please do not assume I'm criticizing you personally, or the leaders you wish to support.

Margin Call is an overlooked, underrated film. Thanks for your words of wisdom.
