Brutal as the day is long. 10c per word, not enough oxygen to go further

Brent Norton

Another great video. I always wanted to give a one page dungeon published and then build adventures off of that. Thank for the information.

Charles Dickens got paid by the word, his novels were published serially in jounals, which is how novels were consumed in ye olden days; books were expensive, hence the density of his text. He is considered the seminal Victorian novelist, his best known work is: A Christmas Carol, among 15 other classics. Most writers start off small, getting publishing in magazines, online, and other places before hitting it big. Perhaps your musings could lead to a Dragonlance series or a Song of Ice and Fire or God forbid, another Harry Potter.

10c per word, i'm still prone. Help me up. Are there royalties? Also if Hasboro is pulling in this serious money, why are they not hiring Stephen King to send it to the next level.

Scott Spears

They can't afford King and I really doubt he would be interested or could do it. It's a whole different skill set.

Daniel Defazio

No royalties with the cents per word. You get royalties in a publishing agreement. Working with Questgivers and putting my work on Drive-thru has made me more money than my freelance work.
