Bagel-Man

Always a good day when PDM uploads twice! Keep up the good work!

Bagel-Man

Oh for sure, I still can’t believe they sent the Pinkertons over their own mistake.

Chuck Thorin

Ahh. PDM. You realize how much money you're costing me with all these great games.. :)

MrGunn

So much awesome DungeonCraft content on this crappy weather Sunday. Thanks PDM. PS Stop enabling my RPG habit, Mrs Gunn, who's spirit animal is the Honey Badger, is going to have words with me at the end of this month when she sees the credit card bill.

MrGunn

@DungeonCraft Pshaw! I loved your last post, positivity is overrated. Pessimists are much happier than the optimists of the world, it is because we are sometimes pleasantly surprised, where as optimists repeatedly suffer disappointment ;D

MrGunn

@Bagel-Man I swear you have his computer tapped and an algorithm set to post the second after PDM posts. I applaud your vigilance sir!

Bagel-Man

Hahaha, no I just happen to get really lucky with already being on my phone when PDM uploads.

MrGunn

@Chuck Thorin Agreed, PDF + Hardcopy is @USD 45.00 delivered from France. Le ouch.

Weird Cat

And I told myself I was done buying RPG books for a while...

Jay

PDM, another great review of some very cool rules and game supplements from another worth while independent creator. Just as many others, I'm beginning to see I may have a problem collecting games and systems. Just backed Blood & Doom Kickstarter at High Priest level, its gonna cost me a bit but the shinny new books with the cool dice, cards, and the amazing art with the grim dark theme. Yeah, I need to get a grip and pump the brakes on buying them for a while. I'm allowing my hobby to get expensive. Funny thing is I never follow the rules 100% as written in any game system and insert my own rulings so collecting these seems a bit ridiculous at times. By-the-way, are player facing rules catching on these days? Didn't think they were that popular.

MrGunn

@Jay Player facing rules; what is this sorcery you speak of?

Chris Baker

I don't know if they are becoming more popular, but player facing rules have been around a long time. I like them as they keep players more engaged when it's not their turn, so I incorporated them into my frankensteined rules.

Tuska

This game sounds awesome!

Ben Waters

Cool to see William King is a gamer. I liked the Gotrek & Felix novels as well as his Space wolf books.

samurguybri

I love reading this game! I like the advancement system, quite a lot, milestone with more pizzazz. The only thing that rubs me the wrong way with all of the "Hack" rules is rolling low. A one should never be good! Just a personal preference, however

Daniel Defazio

I kinda feel the same way--I want to roll high! But I think that XP system is about the nest I have read. Thinking of stealing it.

James C

The only reason I dislike videos like this is the critical damage it causes on my wallet. Keep up the good work PDM.

Charles Fout

A good way to roll for stats in games like this is 2d3 + 6. That gives an 8 - 12 spread. If you want, pick one attribute/ability to roll for with advantage. (Or two with advantage and one with disadvantage.)

Richard White

I love love love the look of this book. But I refuse to spend any more money on RPGs I won't play or use. Thanks for the vid, PDM.

MrGunn

Good news everyone; DTRPG’s Deal of the Day has the EZD6 Rules for 50% off, be sure to take advantage of this deal for an awesome TTRPG!

MrGunn

I just received my hardcover edition of The Black Sword Hack

Jared Davis

Professor, thank you very much for this review. I would not have encountered this RPG if not for you. I purchased its PDF, and it’s about as close to my ideal version of “D&D” as one could make it. I look forward to using this system for games with friends for years to come.
