I'm a bit backed up. I had to read 130 student notebooks and come up with final grades. Now it's state testing week. Also finishing a new video which should be posted today or tomorrow AND prepping to run/film The Lost City. It'a lot.

If I don't respond to your comments/IMs, this why.

Grading — The undisputed worst part of the teaching profession.

Take all the time you need PDM

“May all your Sanity rolls be 20s.” My wife and mother were both teachers. I wish you serenity and the relaxing beverages of your choice. No need to reply.

Wow. Your school district ends late. My wife ended last week and my kids ended this week. At any rate, take care!

Came for the quality of your postings. As one rocker said... I am a patient boy. I'll wait, I'll wait, I'll wait.

Totally understand, my wife was a middle school teacher.

As a former teacher…you have my sincere sympathy. I have a friend in Colorado who is a high school English teacher. She is spending every blessed second grading papers. I cannot imagine the pain.

All the with grading. I hope you get to enjoy some free time during the long vacation.

Yuck, grading. A necessary evil. Get it done and off your plate.

No worries PDM. Handle your business.

Try to have a good Father’s Day weekend in between all that grading.

Jonny Himes

Hope you had a great FAther's Day, PDM!!

I appreciate the responsibility and focus... and yet we both know all those kids are moving on to the next level no matter the grades you give them! Heck, the minimum grade in my kids High School is a 20; even if you don't show up to take the test, you STILL get a 20! :) PS: Of course there is more to school than passing and failing, and in no way am I actually attempting to dishonor or discourage your hard work in giving students appropriate grades and appropriate feedback for their learning and growth. Thanks for your service!
