I really get a lot out of these campaign diaries. I wish non patrons could learn from them. Great stuff. Did you create the Zargon figure?

Very impressed with how you rapped everything up. Love the description of the city itself and the factions. I can agree about the table share with all the Deathbringer dice. Had a rat ogre killed with a dead fish because everyone through their dice in on one attack. So how about a lvl limit? Lvl 3 can only use 3 DB dice at a time.

Great to hear your players thoughts on this. Loved Gene’s comment about them “being adults” around the table. Like he said, a win for one player is a win for the whole party and it should be celebrated by the whole party. The end battle just proves that a blowout can be as good as a tight, down-to-the-wire combat. It can certainly be disappointing as a DM to see all your careful planning go out the window, but it’s the players’ experience that really matters.

I also agree with Michelle’s comment about mega dungeons turning into nothing more than XP farming. Back in the early days dungeon crawling was the whole game, but it’s evolved into a more narrative experience and players now expect that. I think the “5 room dungeon” concept fits in much better with modern play. It’s also great if you want sessions to be self contained. Is the 5 Room Dungeon worthy of a video?

Thanks, Dan, for the kind words about Delver. It's hard for me to believe, but I just submitted the files for Delver 9 to the printer! What I thought would be a sigle issue for fun has turned into a regular, six-times-a-year release. I feel very blessed and honored that Delver has done so well. Thanks for the coverage.

We used this in our last session and it worked great. Use it for the new DB. Your ideas have helped me enough over the years.

Sounds like a blast. Love your players.
