I don't want to make clickbait but this...this I may not be able to resist. Share your thoughts below but keep it...uh...clean.

Update: my friend Bob World Builder talked me out of it. He said. "I did the same thumbnail and the video did lower than average views." So that settles it. But thank you for your advice!

Interesting--definitely suggestive--if it's a reference to a video game or something, I'm a bit at a loss. That said, this is what happens when pixies are put in charge of both the intoxicants and the contraceptives at the annual fay wild fertility festivals in 5E. It's the only thing that can explain the different player races---my girlfriend's daughter is playing a 3 foot tall fay wild hedgehog monk in her game. I started to ask probing questions and then stopped--there was no good outcome to be had there. I have no idea how that works. My take---go for it--whatever you have in mind.

My 2¢, well it's kinda just clickbait at this point, although referencing and making fun of the matter in future videos versus going whole hog "WotC is promoting bestiality" may be more prudent. Did WotC actually authorize this, merely approve of, or were they aware but incapable of action? (Contracts be contracts, and money wont wait for morality.) Toss it in as a comment on BG3 video overall. My question is with the pretty amazing success of BG3, why don't they focus their online presence with this type of video game, divide and conquer the online player base this way. They do not even have to make physical product for it, it's like a license to print money. 2.5 million copies sold at $60 a pop and zero cost for printing books. It's been available for a week, and with a lot of good reviews those sales will climb. It just seems that a VTT could be a money pit. WotC could just see what is popular zeitgeist and print money there. I am not saying take them off the hook, my bullshit sense is tingling tho, like there is no right answer, just what can be lived with.

Don't do a video on this - it is always cringey when someone does a video on video games like this that mischaracterizes the studio or passes it off as something when they may not fully know what goes on in a different medium. Larian studios is a very good video game studio and has a lot of genuine passion for their games, as well as with D&D. This video game is actually a genuinely big step forward for D&D video games that very expertly combines elements of both gaming worlds. In all honesty I am surprised that WotC let Larian do a lot of the things they did in this game, I would have thought they would be scared of scaring off potential interested customers who have no experience with D&D.

It’s seems to me that they are engaging in the normalization and sensationalism of graphic pornography and bestiality. I don’t believe this game is out of the reach of children. Sending out the Pinkerton thugs was a much classier mover than this. They just cannot seem to make a family friendly decision anymore.

I'm not that much of a gamer and have never played a Baldur's Gate title, so I was completely unaware of this. I'm a little surprised because I follow a number of YouTubers who highlight pop culture issues like this. At any rate, I recommend leaving it alone. This is RPG adjacent and does not fit within the new direction this channel is going (which I endorse). While I have no doubt I'll enjoy PDM's take and wit, I think it will come across as a petty pot shot and drag this channel through murky slime. But hey, that's what I think. What do you think? I'd love for you to share your comments down below.

Yeah, PDM, if you have an interesting take on the subject, do the video! To be honest, my partner was less interested in BG3 until they learned about this (and romance in general), and controller support. Interesting romance, an emphasis on RP, the capability of meaningful non-lethal solutions created interest. It made the game feel more *RP*g to them, and less of a "fighty" game. Some folks may not like the romance simulator stuff in Crpgs, but our TTrpgs have non-lethal and stealth options and allow for creative problem solving using more than just "hack and slash" tactics. When to fight and when to not used to mean something. Crpgs have limits; these kinds of features allow for some kind of "soft skill" play, when done right.
