Nice way to start the new year!

I'm going through my mind, trying to figure out what was my "that guy" moments. The one that stands out to me was i was doing this mini-series, it was a 6 session shadowhunter campaign from d20 modern. Final fight, one of the characters gets a broken ankle right before the final boss and has to sit it out. i still feel bad about to this day. Another one, a player new player joined a few sessions into a superhero game, we had left off on a to be continued moment right before a chase scene so i waited until i played out that scene without the new player, took a lot longer than i thought. Left them sitting for an hour just watching. Some of the best advise i've gotten from this channel is to get players involved quickly. Don't wait for convenient narrative moments to add in players who missed a session or new players. Don't even waste brain power on explaining away characters being gone unexpected.

That mantra is great. I usually start with the GM's OATH from ICRPG! But I'm going to add this to my pre-game ritual. Lovely stuff. Always good to self reflect and improve! great video prof

I like a video that doesn't wallow in negativity but presents a way to move forward, cuz we all make mistakes. Mistakes are only an issue if DM or player has no desire to find them. Thank you and Happy New Year! Now back to finish the 12 hour dungeon.

Awesome! Believe it or not I encountered "The Guy Who Makes Everything a Roll" only recently. Rolling for the most mundane things coz, "that's the rules". Not really his fault, it's 2nd Ed AD&D. On the plus side it's nice that this video wasn't just a rant about poor behaviour, it contained far more good advice and useful tips.
