Akumi Animation Update! (Patreon)

Hello my Patrons!

Thought you'd like to see a progress report on the work I've been doing. As you can see it's coming along nicely!  I've still gotta put it through After Effects to make all the fancy shmancy visual stuff.  A lotta place holders are still in place like the basic sky horizon.  But I have to say I do like some of the simplicity of the designs I got going on.


Like I said before, I'll be making NSFW bonus footage for you patrons only, once the main scenes are complete.  This will be part of the episode but act more as a sub plot.  For instance, what's happening in the back of that Alien's spaceship?


Anyway, I've got a lot to finish before I can hand this off to my friends to do sound and music.  But the momentum is moving. The hardest parts of animation is pretty much done. Then it's the POLISH time! I say that with caps because that's when the animation really gets it's shine.  Right now it's very basic, but that all changes after POLISH time!

I'm already liking where this is going, the super hyperish happy go lucky Akumi just didn't do it for me but this one all serious like in the first 3? was like the most bad ass/intimidating/bounterhunterish/ female main lead character I've seen since like..............................you know what I can't relate it to anything other than characters I do when I RP! it's that unique! :D Only better that she's the MAIN CHARACTER of this series Lol, what I'm curious of though! Is of her history. When will we learn of how she came to be? That sword and it's legendary prowess, where did she get it from? I know the answer to why she dresses the way she does, Light/agile/lethal Ninja like and EFFECTIVE! I Digress however back to my original statement. I love the Old Akumi which I see much of in this, silent and lethal with a few snarky comments of retort against those who would badger her and hope to see some of her past in some future episodes, the more we know the better XD!

Haha thank you Lucitania! Love fans like you! We do have a back story in mind. A story of why she does what she does and all that. Yeah I've gone to opposite ends of the spectrum with Akumi with the original and then Xtreme. What I want to do is strike a nice balance. Sort of like Edward from Full Metal Alchemist or Vash the Stampede from Trigun. Or more recently, One Punch Man. I like the serious badass that can also make you laugh. Those characters seem to do it well in my opinion. But yeah I'm glad you're digg'n the feel of this new Akumi animation. I'm just following my gut on this now and trying to make it the best I can. It'll be interesting and fun to see how Akumi evolves! I've got so much I want to create with her!

You're welcome! I'm working on some ideas to put out while the animations are in production. Once the animations are in the sound FX and music stage, I'll work on some downloadable content. Plus I still have commissions to finish.
