[NSFW] More ToonBoom Rig-testing (starring Monika) 💙 (Patreon)

PHEW, alrighty! Still testing out the animation features in ToonBoom while my free trial lasts, and it's been pretty enlightening! (albeit somewhat overwhelming at times...)

You might recall in my last post when I mentioned that ToonBoom is a drawing program in itself, so objects have to be drawn IN ToonBoom before they can be animated. Well, it turns out that wasn't entirely correct; you CAN import external drawings into ToomBoom and then rig them! Upon learning about this, I immediately wanted to test it out using one of my bonus panels to see if I could setup a basic rig for it. Deformers have a neat way of making things look "squishy", so I decided it would be best to test it out on the momma with the thickest thighs!

To actually setup the rig, the first step was to open up the Krita file and separate every body part into individual pieces so that they can move on their own (as well as via Parent pieces) and add a little extra cum to animate dripping out of her booty:

I quickly realized that this was going to be a bit more complicated than I was expecting (and I also fucked up because I forgot to enable the "Sweat" layer in Krita, so I had to go back and isolate all the sections of sweat per bodypart and attach them manually - it's part of the learning experience, I guess!)

After all the parts were linked, it was time to add the Rig Nodes - individual pins that are used to distort/stretch/squash singular drawings, which is how her boobs stay smooshed against her thighs while they move (there's rig nodes in her boobs, thighs, pussy, and the pile of cum!) and after that, it was just a matter of moving everything in a way that looked nice. Add in some transparency tweens, ease in/out, and voilà! I call it "Monika's Bed-Breaking Bliss" 💙 Unfortunately, I have NO IDEA how to export GIFs in a smaller filesize, so here's a big fat 10MB gif lol I DID manage to create a much-smaller 4,000KB WEBM file, but Patreon doesn't allow video-format uploads for NSFW creators :(

WELL, I think I can call this rigging experiment a success! I'm still not sure whether it's easier to draw the objects in ToonBoom manually, or draw them in Krita and import them as objects (there's pros and cons to both methods, unfortunately), but at least now I know a bit more about how the process is done!

For the moment, I might get back to the comics side of things for awhile, but I'm excited to see what kind of stuff I can do with ToonBoom in the future! Thanks for your patience while I've been tinkering with animation again :) It's neat!
