Life Update - The Sequel (I swear, I can't make this shit up!) (Patreon)

If you didn't see my first post I'm referring to, about us being told we have to move out of our rental house, you can view it here. Since being abruptly contacted by our property manager 5 days ago, advising us to move out in 90 days or less (but pressuring us to do it much sooner), I've spent every day combing through property listings, checking google maps to see the neighborhoods, try to zoom in and figure out if they are fenced, etc. I've been contacting agents with questions, booking viewing appointments, and we actually went to about 10 houses for viewings. Of those 10, we submitted our applications to 3 of them. Remember, we were in a rush and didn't feel like we could leisurely take our time and find the "best house" for us. We just needed "a house" that was fenced, would accept our dogs, and had at least 4 bedrooms and a layout that would allow us both to work from home without being close enough to each other so he can be on the phone in meetings all day and I can have enough quiet to use my microphone without his conversations bleeding through. We did find 2 very nice houses, and 1 other that was smaller, but still suitable. We applied and we've heard back from all 3 to say we made the shortlist and have progressed to the 2nd stage of background and income checks. So that's reassuring...BUT, THEN...Yesterday (5 days after the initial email), I got this email from our property manager:"Hope you had a good weekend. Just received an email from landlord that she would like to retract the 90-day notice to vacate. She has a changed of plans and not proceeding with the initial one. Kindly let me know if you are happy to continue to stay in the property. Sorry for the inconvenience caused. Have a good evening."SERIOUSLY? Do they just enjoy traumatizing people a week before Christmas or something? Well I'm sorry, but they've burned that bridge now, no turning back. We no longer feel safe in the concept of this being a "long-term" home, and I told her that while we are glad to have the urgent deadline rescinded, we have already applied to some other properties, and will continue our search, and move out when the time is right for us, on our own timeline.
She had the nerve to replay with this: "Thank you for your email and the information. Totally understand your concern and insecurity but the landlord is not planning to sell any time soon. Let me know should you decide to move out, and please give us at least 21-day notice. Happy Christmas."Happy Fucking Christmas. So, the good news is that we aren't being kicked out. But we're still leaving, just on our own terms and timeline.
