"Screw it," Mist muttered as he used his Move Earth ability to push the graves up out of the ground, figuring he had enough gold and gems to drag them back to life even if they weren't willing. 'You don't get to just abandon Harry.'

"What the fuck?!" Sirius blurted as he jumped back and reached for his wand when the wooden coffins burst out of the ground. "Inferi!"

Mist quickly created a wall of ice, blocking a fire whip. "None of that, stop!"

"What?" Sirius asked, rather confused why he'd stopped him.

"This is why we can't have nice things," Mist told Sirius as he resurrected the two Potters. "One of my powers lets me resurrect people, I figured it would be a good prank."

"How is that a prank?" Harry asked in disbelief.

"I laughed," Mist replied as the coffin lids opened, revealing an attractive red haired young lady with emerald green eyes and a young man that looked like an older Harry with hazel eyes.

"You have a horrible sense of humor and that's me saying this," Sirius complained.

"It smells like something died in here," James complained, causing everyone to stop and look at the coffins.

"Pretty sure that's us," Lily said as she climbed out of her coffin.

"Yeah, there was a green light and horrible laughter, so that fits," James offered as he looked at the group of people staring at them.

Harry stared at his parents as it finally sank in that they were back from the dead.

"Congratz, you're no longer an orphan," Mist offered, causing everyone to look at him. "Too soon?"

"Just a bit," Sirius said as he let the fire whip vanish.

"How?" Hermione demanded.

"If anyone asks, I'm blaming Sirius and dark magic," Mist said smugly, "unless it's Dumbledore then we'll make something up and about us coming back from the 'dead' because Voldemort died or some complicated mystical reason."

"Pretty sure we should just blame Sirius," James suggested.

"Why?" Lily asked.

"If it works, why change it? That's what we always did in school," James replied with a shrug.

"That explains so much," Sirius admitted as he hit James and Lily with cleaning and fleshing charms, figuring it would be a decent stop gap measure before they got them to a shower.

Mist hit each of the recently dead Potters with his Clothes Beam ability, swapping out their nasty funeral clothes for a suit in James' case and a dark green dress in Lily's case. "That's better…" he trailed off as Dumbledore appeared in a burst of flames. "I'm so disappointed, I knew you missed them but dark magic?"

"I tried to warn him," James offered.

Sirius conjured a big floppy hat and started James with it. "Bad Inferi."

"You know Inferi, can't talk, right?" Hermione asked, having read about them in several books.

"We've been gone for a decade and a half, I'm sure they've made improvements," James argued as he fended off the conjured hat.

Lily rubbed the bridge of her nose. "Enough, I need a nice long shower and a bath, with lots of soap then I'm going to catch up with Harry's life and hug the stuffing out of him." She gave Harry a smile filled with warmth.

"And bubbles, don't forget the bubbles," Luna piped up.

"An excellent suggestion Miss Lovegood," Albus said, causing everyone to turn and look at him.

"I have so many questions," Harry said, not sure where to start.

"We'll get there," Sirius assured Harry then turned to look at Albus. "How did you get here so fast?"

"I had wards on the graves, as soon as they moved I got a screaming alert," Albus explained as he glanced at the suspiciously familiar wall of ice. "Curiously enough, I was investigating the destruction of the Gaunt Family shack, it was burned down and covered in ice, do you happen to know anything about that?"

"Couldn't say," Sirius replied with a shrug.

Mist focused on the landing next to the workshop so he could use his Gate Creation ability to open a portal, knowing that James and Lily would want to clean up before they did much of anything.

"Is there a reason you're walking around where someone might recognize you?" Albus asked Sirius.

"Yeah, apparently I'm using dark magic to resurrect people," Sirius replied sarcastically.

"He's got a point," Lily cut in before the boys could get distracted. "We can deal with everything else after I get a shower."

Mist gestured and opened a portal to the workshop using his Gate Creation ability. "The shop has showers and magical soap for removing grease, just head through the door and walk to the back. There are also clean towels and robes."

"Thank you," Lily said as she headed through the portal, eager to get clean so that she could pull Harry into a hug without making him gag from the stench.

"That's interesting," Albus said as he studied the portal as James followed Lily.

Mist used his Move Earth ability to rebury the coffins, making it look like nothing had actually been dug up. "It's basically a gateway to a pocket dimension, you're welcome to step through, just be aware that it might be a couple of hours until I open a portal back, I'm not leaving an open portal in a public graveyard."

"Excellent, that gives me several hours to question Sirius about recent events," Albus replied cheerfully as he flicked his wand at the ice wall and melted it, not wanting to leave any evidence of strangeness or draw attention to the place. He put his wand back in the holster in his sleeve then walked through the portal and glanced around the strange cavern, curious where the stranger had found the cavern or if he'd built it.

"On second thought, maybe we should just stick around," Sirius muttered as he walked through the portal.

Mist took a last look around the graveyard then followed the children through the portal and closed it behind him. "I'm going to see if I can repair a golf cart. Does anyone want to help me and avoid uncomfortable questions?" he asked the teenagers.

"Sorry," Harry told Sirius then looked at Mist. "Absolutely."

"Sounds fun," Luna agreed.

"Sure," Sirius said then sighed when Albus gave him a look that said he wasn't escaping. "But I should probably do the responsible thing for once in my life."

"You're out of darkness powder, aren't you?" Mist asked Sirius as he walked over and started lowering the ramp to the bottom level so they could get to the scrapyard.

"That may have been a contributing factor," Sirius admitted.

"Where is the golf cart that needs repaired?" Albus asked, wondering if he could get some actual answers out of the stranger if he repaired it since it was obviously not Sirius that was bringing people back to life.

"In the scrapyard," Mist replied as he finished lowering the ramp so they could walk down to the scrapyard.

"Where did all of the scrap come from?" Hermione asked as they walked down the metal ramp.

"Magic," Mist replied.

"Is that your explanation for everything?" she asked, making a mental note to find a spell to conjure a rolled up newspaper so she could swat him when he made a bad joke.

"No, just most things," Mist replied with a grin as he glanced around the cars, solar panels, tires and piles of electronics that he could see as he made his way back toward the golf car. "I got the scrapyard from a card, it slowly refills and changes over time."

"Much like the cards you're holding?" Albus asked.

"The scrapyard actually came from an item card, the gold one is a trait card and the silver one is random so, I could technically get an item with the silver card but it's just as likely to get a magical ability, a skill, trait or a familiar. They're more than a bit random," Mist explained as he swapped his Ice Age power for his Shadow Hands ability and conjured eight hands to grab tires so that he could upgrade them once someone repaired the tires on the cart.

Sirius glanced at shadowy hands that were following them with tires. "How many familiars do you have?"

"Nine," Mist replied with a shrug. "I'm not sure if I should count the immortal snail as a pet or the group of floating eyes but yeah, I've picked up a few."

"What type of skills can you get?" Albus asked, curious what he'd picked up.

"I've picked up an Enchanting skill that allows me to create permanent enchanted items related to my powers or the spells that I've learned, a Blacksmithing skill that lets me actually create magical weapons without enchanting them, a rather impressive mechanics skill, a skill for moving quietly and a skill to help learn magic. One of my friends picked up a martial arts skill, a package skill that included mechanics, cooking, blacksmithing and medicine. She also acquired the ability to sing, dance and play most types of instruments and a really nice teaching skill."

"Can you teach us enchanting?" Luna asked hopefully.

"It's on the list," Mist assured her as they reached the golf cart.

"Looks like someone went crazy with a golf club," Harry mused.

"Probably," Mist agreed.

Albus pulled his wand out of his sleeve and waved it at the golf cart, hitting it with a repair charm that repaired the hood and tires faster than you could describe it. "That should help."

"Can someone actually explain how you have poor wizards if one repair spell can fix that much damage?" Mist asked.

"Some people don't like interacting with the rest of the world and the ministry discourages people from making money in the muggle world," Albus explained.

"That sort of crap makes me glad that I'm not a wizard," Mist complained as he mentally directed his shadow hands to drop the tires next to the tires on the car. "I can understand setting up rules and trying to encourage people to avoid taking advantage of people and such things but what's the point of having magic if you can't improve things and have fun with it?"

"It has to do with the Statute of Secrecy, the more wizards interact with the rest of the world, the harder it is to keep everything separate or at least that is what the ministry would have you believe. I've found that the more wizards interact with the rest of the world, the less problems they cause because they understand how to blend in," Albus offered.

"I'm still not sure why they didn't just hide a couple of islands back in the day and have entire cities filled with magic users, but maybe that's just me," Mist replied as he used his Synthesis ability to boost the durability of one of the tires on the cart and one of the spare tires.

"What happened to the tire?" Harry asked, having noticed it vanish.

"I used my Synthesis ability to merge the tires and increase the durability of the tire on the left, the locals in the other world don't have rubber tires so I want to make sure they can't break them if they hit something sharp or hit a hole or something," Mist explained as he merged the boosted tire with another tire, increasing the tire's ability to retain air.

"Will introducing advanced technology to the world cause problems?" Hermione asked, curious about the other world.

"I doubt it, they'd just assume that the cart used magic," Mist replied as he used his Synthesis ability on the next tire, boosting the general durability. "They might try to figure out how the suspension and such things work to see if they can learn something but that's not really going to change anything. I seriously doubt the world has any usable oil reserves left for various reasons and I wouldn't have a clue where to find the stuff to make batteries."

"And the cards you're holding?" Harry asked.

Mist used his Piercing Eyes ability to check the cards. 'Tinker Cosmetics and Herbalist, could be worse,' he mused as he opened the tinker card. "Tinker-Cosmetics, this Tinker ability allows you to modify, create and design technological constructs related to cosmetics and appearances. Hyper-realistic masks, making an existing machine look good, holograms, beauty cream, perfumes, etc."

"The ability to create masks and holograms sounds useful," Hermione offered.

"Worst case, it just sits in my collection and I don't have to worry about it until Halloween," Mist replied as he opened the next card.

"Do the locals even have Halloween?" Luna asked thoughtfully.

"No, they've got a mask day but it's not the same," Mist replied. "The other card gave me a Herbalist trait which gives me a vast amount of knowledge related to plants, letting me easily understand the function and origin of plants just by looking at them. Also comes with some knowledge of making basic medicine but I think I'll leave that to a professional."

"Is there a reason that doesn't fall under an herbology skill?" Harry asked.

"Probably the instant identification, I get the feeling that it would work on any plant, even places that I've never heard of," Mist explained as he finished improving the last wheel twice.

"Do you have a limit on your resurrection power?" Albus asked.

"Yeah, their remains have to still exist and I can't bring anyone back that has been dead longer than I've been alive, which means that I can probably resurrect Luna's mother but someone that died fifty years ago is off the table. It also costs a decent amount of gold or gems but I've got a couple of workarounds for that. It's not really something I'd want to do on the mundane side without a decent reason but I don't really have an issue bringing the magical dead back, they can always choose to stay in whatever afterlife they ended up in."

"Does that mean you'll bring my mother back?" Luna asked hopefully.

"It was on the list, along with fixing Neville's parents," Mist assured them. "I just got a bit sidetracked when Dumbledore showed up."

"How would you heal the Longbottoms?" Albus asked, wondering if he had something that would work.

"One of my abilities cures physical ailments and restores vitality, including youth. I have a ring that gets rid of curses on the off chance that it's curse related and not just physical damage and I can use my cauldron to make a potion of regeneration tomorrow that might work if it's just physical damage. If that works, I can probably cure the other one tomorrow when the cauldron recharges. I would have mentioned it earlier but I didn't want to say anything because I'm not a hundred percent sure that I can fix them."

"What type of curses can it deal with?" Albus asked, wondering if it worked on bloodline curses.

"I haven't found anything that I can't deal with," Mist replied as he gestured toward Harry's forehead. "I used the ring to get rid of the rest of Harry's scar after the link broke by taking him to another world. I also dealt with the entire collection of curses that Voldemort left on his ring."

"His ring?" Albus asked.

"It was a Gaunt family artifact that contained the Resurrection Stone, I'm not actually sure that he understood what he had," Mist admitted as he pulled the ring out of his inventory and showed Albus.

"Is that how you brought them back?" Albus asked, resisting the urge to ask for it.

"No, I picked up the Resurrection power from a card, the stone just creates a shadow of the dead that doesn't actually want to exist, the ghost you're talking to isn't the person you lost or at least that is what my identification ability tells me," Mist explained. "So, they could give you information but they're under no obligation to answer questions or follow orders."

"What are you planning on doing with it?" Albus asked.

"Nothing," Mist replied as he tossed Albus the ring. "It only works on your world so it's basically useless to me since our worlds aren't the same. I don't have any loved ones in your world and I don't feel like playing a hundred questions with historical figures. Not to mention, I'd quickly reach the point where communication issues would be a problem."

"I can see where that would be a problem," Albus agreed.

"For the record, I haven't checked your wand or Harry's cloak, but I didn't see anything about the stone getting more powerful if someone had possession of all three and I'd never want to claim to be the Master of Death, she might take offense."

"Take offense?" Sirius asked.

"Or give me a job," Mist replied with a shiver. "I'm not chasing after liches or immortals that don't want to stay dead. I'm not saying that's what would happen to anyone that collects all of them but I'm not taking the chance."

"How did you know I have the wand?" Albus asked, having realized that he wasn't guessing.

"There are stories about your world in mine, all of the details aren't correct but enough are that I don't want anything to do with that mess," Mist replied. "Besides, I can actually bring people back from the dead, I don't need the stone and I don't want it. I have a ring that lets me turn invisible so I don't need the cloak and I don't use wands so the wand doesn't have the same appeal and I'm not a thief."

"Wouldn't it boost your magic?" Hermione asked.

"Maybe, maybe not, it's reasonably safe with the headmaster so why should I care?" Mist asked, not particularly worried about the wand since he had other ways to boost his magic.

"Do you know where Riddle's horcruxes are?" Albus asked.

Mist shrugged. "Take this with a grain of salt since Fudge shouldn't have found a genie in the stories I heard but I'm pretty sure the snake was killed when Lucius walked back into his manner with the Holy Light bomb that I slipped into his pocket."

"Holy Light bomb?" Albus asked warily.

"One of my abilities lets me create light that harms dark creatures or people but is completely harmless to everything else," Mist explained. "He was at the ministry when I went to have a discussion with Fudge about being a psychotic lunatic and I knew he'd be going back to his house so I set it to go off if someone hit him with magic."

"And Tom would have cursed him for failure since he didn't have a chance of dealing with Fudge," Albus mused.

"That was the idea, yeah," Mist agreed. "Harry dealt with the Diary back in second year and I dealt with the ring because it was dangerous. That just leaves Hufflepuff's cup that should be in Bellatrix's vault, Slytherin's locket should be in Grimmauld Place and Ravenclaw's Diadem is probably hidden at Hogwarts. Which is probably why you have a problem keeping Defense teachers."

Sirius stared at Mist. "Why would Slytherin's Locket be in my house?"

"Your brother tried to destroy it," Mist replied as he continued using his Synthesis ability to continue merging the extra tires with the tires on the cart. "I don't know the specifics but Riddle borrowed Kreacher for something and left him for dead."

Sirius nodded. "That would have caused my brother to snap."

"Voldemort might be a genius when it comes to certain types of magic but his knowledge of anything he didn't value wasn't nearly as good so he didn't understand that when their masters tell them to come home at the end of a mission, they will regardless of being delirious and or insane from a curse. Regulus managed to save Kreacher and then he set about getting revenge."

"This is why you're supposed to read everything," Hermione grumbled.

"He didn't survive the traps on the seaside cave but he sent Kreacher back with the locket and told him to destroy it," Mist replied as he used his Piercing Eyes ability to check the card. 'Great Ass, you have a great ass, with incredible cushioning abilities, you can sit upon practically any surface without discomfort. It also looks and feels very good. Yeah, that probably counts as trolling,' he mused as he stuck the card in his inventory to hand to one of the girls.

"That would explain a couple of things," Sirius mused, knowing that not being able to follow his brother's last order would have tormented the elf.

Harry turned to look at Sirius. "How does that explain things?"

"Kreacher occasionally mutters in his sleep about orders," Sirius admitted. "I just figured he was talking about my mother's portrait since I ordered him to stop following its orders."

"Why didn't he mention the locket?" Hermione asked.

"Kreacher doesn't like or trust me," Sirius explained. "I don't have a problem with house elves in general but Kreacher helped make my life miserable growing up, I doubt he trusted me to destroy the locket."

"Hey!" Wendy shouted as she flew down to where the group was. "You should have told us you're back."

Mist turned and looked at the girl that was wearing her witch outfit that was hovering a foot off the ground. "I just got back."

"Nice, can you come to the library and open an actual portal? Some of the girls want to get some sleep unless you know where we can get a bunch of beds?"

"Maybe," Mist replied as he turned to look at Dumbledore. "Can I talk you into helping conjure some temporary beds because we've got a bunch of extra people that need a place to sleep, they're effectively refugees."

"Of course," Albus replied, curious about the library the flying girl had mentioned and how she was flying.

"Great," Mist replied as he turned to look at Sirius. "I need my ring back, I don't have enough flight rings for everyone and we need to get to one of the platforms that doesn't have a rope bridge yet."

"Right, I forgot," Sirius replied as he pulled the portal ring off his finger and handed it to Mist.

"Not a problem," Mist assured him as he put the ring on and opened a portal up to the platform with the exit portal. "It's just one of the magic items I can't duplicate so I'm trying to keep track of it since it's faster than my portal ability."

"Are there any local customs we should be aware of?" Albus asked thoughtfully as they walked through the portal.

Mist closed the portal behind them once Wendy floated through. "Most of the local customs are sane enough or only apply to the locals, the only real problem is that you're going to want to avoid revealing your magic to people outside of the library because the male half of the source of magic that the locals use is tainted so everyone is going to be concerned that you'll go insane."

"Is that a concern for us or just the locals?" Albus asked.

"Being here and using magic shouldn't drive you any more or less insane than you already are, it's a function of the source of their magic being covered in tainted sludge," Mist explained as he walked through the portal and headed for the library.

"Interesting," Albus mused as they followed Mist, wondering if there was a way to fix it.
