"Which one do you like better? Sparkplug, MaxGas, 'Zoom!', Slider, Rimjob or Boombox?" one of Squealer's clones asked as she worked on stripping out of the clothes that Maverick had conjured for her.

Colin's 'sister' considered the suggestions as she stripped out of her outfit so that she could get another outfit. "MaxGas is a bad pun, Rimjob doesn't work for a hero, even if your power includes rims and Zoom and Slider are just encouraging you to misbehave."

"Come on, she's probably the only hero that could get away with using Rimjob as a cape name since she's a vehicle tinker," Dennis' 'sister' argued as she worked on stuffing all of the outfits that Maverick had created for her into a duffle bag.

"No, try again," Miss Militia's clone told them as she finished stripping out of her new outfit and stuck her hand between the curtains that gave her some privacy so Maverick could give her another outfit.

"So, Sparkplug or Boombox?" Squealer's clone asked thoughtfully.

"Can you even make a boombox?" Chris' clone asked as he worked on packing his bag with his collection of outfits.

"No, my toys still have to be vehicle adjacent," Squealer's clone admitted.

"At least you can still play with gas, my specialty seems to have swapped to electric vehicles and the infrastructure to support them," the other Squealer clone complained as she tossed her new panties in her bag.

"That just means you need a fun name, like Electric Toys or Solar Toys," one of Dennis' clones suggested.

"How many…" Taylor trailed off as she zapped Miss Militia's clone with her 'clothes beam' and got another card.

Feat Achieved! Taylor the Tailor, create more than two hundred outfits.

+1x Gold Skill Gacha ticket

'Like I haven't heard that one before,' Taylor thought as she tapped the gold card, causing the skill card to flip. 'Suppression? You're a master of suppressing yourself, getting rid of your presence, lowering it to that of an ordinary presence or fully concealing all of your energy. You can make a presence that shakes gods into one that doesn't seem out of place with foliage.'

Miss Militia's clone walked out of the curtained area wearing a black t-shirt and a black skirt and carrying her duffle bag of outfits. "I appreciate the help," she told Taylor as she walked over to where the other Hannah was standing next to Colin.

"You're welcome, replacing an entire wardrobe is expensive…" Taylor trailed off when the door to the training area opened and the director walked in with Legend.

Feat Achieved! Meet a Legend.

+1x Silver Random Gacha ticket

'I'm screwed,' Taylor thought, trying to stay calm despite the fact that one of her heroes had just walked into the room. 'Relax, they're just checking out the clones.'

"Can I get another outfit?" Vista's clone asked as she wiggled her raised hand back and forth.

"Sorry, I got distracted," Taylor replied as she zapped Vista's clone, giving her a blue dress shirt and a black skirt along with knee high socks and boots.

Legend glanced at the various teenagers wearing domino masks and civilian clothes that were staring at him then walked over to where Colin was standing next to Hannah and the person he assumed was her clone because of the way she was standing and watching the room. "How are you feeling?"

"Good," Miss Militia's clone assured him. "Panacea checked to make sure we're not going to fall apart and everyone seems mentally stable."

"Too stable," Emily added.

Legend turned to look at the director. "Too stable?"

"I'd reach for my gun if I woke up next to someone with my face," Emily offered.

"She has a point," Colin agreed. "I would have expected more trouble from Leet and Rune's clones but they came in for testing without any issues, same with the rest of the clones."

Taylor continued zapping the clones when they stuck their hands up, trying to pretend like she wasn't listening or at least like she wasn't extremely invested in the situation.

"At least the ones we know about," Miss Militia added.

"True," Colin agreed. "I just keep expecting the other shoe to drop."

"Understandable," Legend agreed. "We checked with the Thinkers we have access to, they can't find the person or group responsible but the clones are stable as far as they can tell and don't have any Simurgh like programming."

"That's a relief," Miss Militia's clone offered.

Taylor tapped her random silver card, causing it to flip and reveal a girl floating a glass bottle in front of her. 'Glass Manipulation: allows you to telekinetically control glass and glass-based objects inside of your sensory range. Does that mean I can manipulate it or just move it?' she mused as she tapped the silver skill card she'd picked up for making twenty outfits, causing it to flip over and reveal a picture of a man in a lab coat with a stethoscope around his neck. 'Adept Medicine, I already have it because of the King of Trades skill.'

Taylor smiled when the card moved to her inventory and she got another bronze skill card. She tapped the card, causing it to flip and reveal a man meditating with a tinfoil hat on his head. 'Intermediate Conceptualization, another skill I already have.'

"How much of a pain in the ass is it going to be to get everyone new identities?" one of Assault's 'sisters' walked over with a duffle bag filled with clothes.

"The legal team is looking into it," Emily assured her. "I wanted to make sure everyone was stable and not going to die or vanish before we started that process."

"Does that extend to the rest of us?" Hax asked as she walked out of one of the curtained off sections.

Emily turned to look at the short young lady that had her hair pulled back with a scrunchy and was wearing a domino mask along with a black sweatshirt and a pair of blue jeans. "That depends, are you planning on causing trouble?"

Hax shook her head. "No, we're planning on streaming our tinkering or selling some of Leet's old inventions to Dragon, that should give us enough money for a warehouse and a decent set of gaming rigs so we can stay out of trouble."

Taylor zapped a couple more people with her clothes beam that had their hands up then tapped the bronze card, causing it to flip and show a picture with a bunch of hand signs. 'Sign language? Pretty sure I already have that because of Literacy.'

"You're a lot more reasonable than Leet, why?" Emily asked.

"We're not depressed," Geek offered as she walked out of the curtained off area carrying a duffel bag and wearing a skirt and her domino mask.

"Nice," Assault's sister offered.

"Thanks," Geek replied with a grin then turned to look at Maverick. "Can I get a shirt and sweatshirt with Princess Leia in her slave girl outfit fighting a dragon?"

"That's legal as long as I'm not trying to sell it, right?" Taylor asked the heroes and director, not wanting to do something blatantly illegal in front of them.

"Correct," Legend assured her.

Taylor zapped Geek with her clothes beam, giving her a shirt and a black sweatshirt with Princess Leia on the front shooting a stormtrooper with a blaster and fighting a dragon with a lightsaber on the back. "What do you think?"

"Nice…" Hax trailed off when she walked around her sister and saw the dragon. "Damn! That's awesome!"

Geek quickly took her sweatshirt off so that she could see the dragon on the back. "That looks amazing!"

"Thanks," Taylor replied with a grin.

"Can I get a princess riding a unicorn that is fighting a dragon with a flaming sword?" one of Vista's clones asked as she walked out of the curtained area in just her domino mask.

"How about a picture of a genie in a bottle?" one of Dennis' clones asked as he walked over.

"What about old video game characters?" Gear asked hopefully.

"I want a wizard with a staff with a text bubble that says, "I cast fireball!" with a massive blast of fire on the back," one of the Dennis' said as she stepped out of the curtained area half dressed other than her mask.

"I might have made a mistake," Taylor admitted when most of the clones lined up for personal requests. 'At least it gives me plenty of practice.'

"It's for a good cause," Legend offered, relaxing a touch when he noticed how human the clones were about the chance to get some amazing artwork. He turned to look at Colin. "Did you have a chance to test Maverick's suits?"

"I have a couple more tests to run when I have a chance but the suit is fire resistant and is about as conductive as latex, it's also effectively bulletproof up to the type of stuff you'd find on tanks at which point the kinetic absorption fails and the user starts taking damage from the force. I can send you the math later but there's a narrow window between not feeling anything and you're dead. The suits aren't going to stop an endbringer from killing you but they'd probably save people from a glancing blow. The suits also interact favorably with the owner's powers which means it would be an excellent underlayer for heroes."

Legend sighed when his phone started beeping, letting him know that Rebecca wanted to talk to him. "Finish your tests and send me the results, I need to take this."

"Not a problem," Colin assured him.

"Morning sleepy head," Danny teased as Taylor walked into the living room looking half asleep and wearing a set of unfamiliar pajamas.

Taylor glanced at the window that was still dark. "It's not morning until the sun comes up."

"That's not how it works," Danny replied with amusement as he muted the television.

"It should be," Taylor argued as she flopped down on the couch.

"Couldn't sleep?" Danny asked.

"Weird dreams," Taylor admitted, still not sure why she'd been dreaming about grey skinned aliens and flying saucers. "I might need to build a vault."

"More cash?" Danny asked with amusement, glad that she was making money.

"The PRT paid me five hundred for giving everyone clothes and fifty thousand for extending the amount of time they could use my costume booth. They wanted to teleport it around the country to the rest of the PRT buildings so their agents and heroes could get costumes."

"How long?" Danny asked.

Taylor yawned. "Two weeks. I've already used it and they can't steal it without it teleporting back to me so I'm not really worried about it."

"Speaking of powers, did you pick anything else up?" Danny asked.

"Glass Manipulation, a couple of skills and a magic cell phone," Taylor admitted, hoping that her father didn't lose his temper.

"Magic cell phone?" Danny asked warily.

"I picked it up for making knock off clothes, it comes with a number already entered into the phone that lets me call a Dimensional Courier, they can buy anything in my stead from anywhere I've been to as long as it's something a civilian could walk into the shop and buy, even across realities and dimensions. They'll drop it off within eight hours but they'll take a ten percent commission for the trouble."

"Does that mean you could call home on your adventures?" Danny asked, the desire to make sure he had a way to check on Taylor warring with his dislike of the damned things.

"I don't know," Taylor admitted. "I was able to add Amy's number and it lists her as Amy Dallon: Earth Bet(Worm). I'm not sure where the Worm part comes from but Earth Bet implies that it cares about dimensions."

'She's not driving,' Danny reminded himself. "I guess that saves me the trouble of getting you a cell. No texting while flying."

"I wasn't planning on it," Taylor assured him.

"What skills did you get?" Danny asked, changing the subject.

Taylor felt the tension start to drain out of her shoulders when she realized that her father wasn't going to snap over the phone. "I picked up skill cards for Adept Medicine, Intermediate Conceptualization and Sign language since I already have them and I picked up a skill for extracting salt from salt water. I'll probably give Amy the Adept Medicine and Conceptualization cards so that she can learn magic and actually explain everything her power shares and so that she can use it to test medicine."

"Sounds like a good idea," Danny agreed, fairly sure she'd pick up another skill card for learning magic eventually. "When did you pick up sign language?"

"It's a language, it came with my Literacy skill," Taylor replied with a grin. "I'll probably give it to my ditto since that might let it communicate."

"It's worth a try," Danny agreed. "Do you have any plans?"

Taylor glanced at the television. "I need to do a bit of price checking and research on laptops and cameras. I want to see if I can sell some animated shorts or turn some old fairy tales into movies with my Project Image power."

"You're going to run into trouble with the various anti-cape laws," Danny warned her.

"Probably," Taylor agreed. "Worst case, I'll just post them for free and the movie industry can suck a lemon."

"Or they send ninja assassins after you," Danny teased, fairly sure they'd just file a complaint and she'll have to take the videos down.

"They'd have to find me first," Taylor replied with a grin as she headed for the computer to start her research.

"I'm going to start breakfast," Danny told her as he set the remote on the coffee table and headed for the kitchen to start breakfast.

"Sounds good," Taylor agreed as she sat down and turned the computer on, looking forward to getting a computer that wasn't terminally slow.

Taylor jumped and quickly closed the webpage filled with naked pictures of models when the doorbell rang. "Hello?"

"It's cold, can we come in?" Amy asked from the other side of the door.

Taylor walked over and opened the door, revealing Amy and her clones. "Amy?"

Amelia snickered. "Nope, I'm her evil twin Amelia, can I come in? I want to molest you."

Amy reached out and swatted her clone's butt. "Bad clone."

"Only for people I like," Amelia replied with a grin.

Taylor moved out of the way. "Get in here so I can close the door."

Amy followed her clones into Taylor's house. "Sorry, they're a bit perverted."

"Nah, we just say the stuff that you're thinking," Claire offered.

"Speaking of doing questionable things, is anyone else home?" Amelia asked with a grin as she hung her coat on the rack by the door.

"Dad left for work," Taylor told her as she shut and locked the door.

"Perfect," Amelia replied as she pulled her skirt down and let it drop, revealing her light blue panties. "I had to spend the entire morning wearing clothes."

"School?" Taylor asked as she watched Amelia pull her sweatshirt and shirt off, revealing the fact that she wasn't wearing a bra.

"Yeah, can you make me a ring or something so I can walk around naked without people complaining?" Amelia asked hopefully.

"Bad clone," Amy scolded her as she walked over and sat on the couch. "At least everyone kept their clothes on," she grumbled as she started taking her shoes off.

"Just because we don't have any modesty doesn't mean we want to deal with the paperwork," Claire pointed out as she started stripping. "Do you want to have sex on the couch or your bed?"

"Or the table?" Amelia asked thoughtfully.

Amy shook her head, fairly sure Amelia was joking about the table since it wouldn't be particularly comfortable.

"My bed…" Taylor trailed off when she noticed that her Challenge Icon had lit up now that it wasn't on cooldown anymore. "Actually, hold that thought, I want to see if I can take someone with me for the challenge."

"I'm game," Amelia said as she took her panties off.

"What do we have to do?" Amy asked.

"Strip, I get extra rewards for doing the challenge naked, that probably extends to guests," Taylor explained as she used her Metallurgy ability to create three silver rings. "Give me a minute and I'll make some rings so people won't bother you."

'Screw it,' Amy thought as she started stripping out of her clothes, deciding that she might as well have some fun, especially if it increased the reward. "I'm confiscating the rings when we're done, I don't need everyone in school knowing what I look like naked."

Amelia snickered as she watched Amy strip. "That's fair, we'd probably use them."

"Probably?" Claire asked with amusement as she reached over and playfully spanked her sister's butt.

"I need to ask Vicky if her clones are insane," Amy muttered as she slipped her pants and panties off, leaving her naked on the couch.

"Probably, she's a little bit crazy," Claire pointed out.

"Just a bit," Amelia agreed.

Taylor finished the three rings and handed them to Amy and her clones then dropped her clothes into her inventory and sat down on the couch. "I'm guessing we have to be holding hands or something…" she trailed off as Amelia sat on her lap. "That works."

Amy put her new ring on then wrapped an arm around Taylor and Amelia. "Get on the other side Claire."

"Sure," Claire replied as she slipped the ring on her finger.

"Claire?" Taylor asked as Claire sat down next to her.

"Middle name," Claire replied with a grin as she leaned against Taylor and Amelia and hugged them, wanting to make sure she didn't get left behind.

"Amelia is Amy's actual name but everyone just calls her Amy so I reclaimed it," Amelia explained.

"So…" Taylor trailed off as she wasn't sure how to bring up her concerns.

"What's the matter?" Amy asked.

"You're kinda important, to me and the city, this is an experiment and I'm not entirely sure that you'll be able to come back since this is the first time I'm trying to bring people. Can you stay this time?" Taylor asked, knowing that Amy wasn't going to be happy.

Amy sighed and scooted away from Taylor. "I was looking forward to going, you better bring them back and I'm going on the next one," she stated, hoping that her clones and Taylor would be safe.

"Deal," Taylor agreed, feeling sort of guilty about the entire thing and relieved that she wasn't risking Amy's life or at least her ability to get back.

"Does that mean we're expendable?" Claire asked.

"Hush, that means we get to go on the adventure," Amelia argued.

Taylor wrapped her left arm around Amelia and tapped the icon for the Challenge DLC, bringing up a new window and causing the background noise outside to stop and everyone else to freeze. 'Please pick one of the challenge options, you will be transported to the proper location and time to complete the challenge. If you successfully complete the challenge, you'll be rewarded with an appropriate reward. Due to rules and regulations, if you don't pick something and you close the page, it counts as skipping the challenge.

Trouble in the sand, save the girl from raiders. (Group Mission)

It's not the fall that gets you, it's the sudden stop at the end, save the day. (Solo or Group Mission)

Mad Science, Darwin Awards, save the children. (Requires a Biokinetic or Biotinker, Group Mission)'

'We could save someone in the desert or we could save a bunch of children from a mad scientist? Or we could catch someone that is falling?' Taylor mused, not sure which mission to choose since there weren't a lot of details. 'At least the tinkers might be able to use the scientist's notes,' she decided and selected the Mad Science mission.

Amelia blinked when she found herself standing next to Claire and Taylor in a well lit room with a group of teenagers in weird brightly colored one piece clothing and two glass tables and several metal chairs.

"You shouldn't be in here," the brown haired girl sitting at a glass table playing some version of chess with Telekinesis told the group. "You'll be dead from rapid aging in a couple of days."

"Why?" Amelia asked as she studied the group of people that looked to be in their late teens.

"Because of a weird interaction with a flu, our immune systems were designed to be aggressive and attack viruses at range," a blonde haired girl in a yellow one piece offered.

"And they might be able to fix it, interesting…" a guy with brown hair trailed off with a wince when he tried to read Taylor's mind. "Don't read the dark haired girl's mind, it hurts."

"You're Telepaths?" Claire asked in surprise.

"We're also Telekinetic," a blonde girl said cheerfully, happy to talk to someone new.

"I'm a Biokinetic, I might be able to help you, can I touch your hand?" Amelia asked, ignoring the scientist that was looking at them through the window in surprise.

"I don't mind," the brown haired girl said as she held her hand out.

Amelia winced when she reached out, touched the girl's hand and realized what the idiots had done to the girl's immune system. "Fucking Biotinkers," she grumbled as she started fixing the girl's immune system, making sure it wouldn't be able to do anything outside of her body or mutate because it encountered a strange virus or bacteria.

"Who is the most powerful Telepath?" Taylor asked the teenagers.

"That would be me," the dark haired boy with a purple jumpsuit said.

Taylor gave the rest of the group a chance to disagree then used her Mirror ability on the boy that looked a few years older than her, temporarily picking up Telepathy and Telekinesis. "Do you want Telepathy and Telekinesis?" she asked Amelia and Claire.

"Absolutely," the girls replied at the same time.

"How are you going to give them Telepathy…" he trailed off as the twins suddenly went from normal people to Telepaths. "You can give people powers?" he asked, picking up the information from Claire and Amelia's minds. "What sort of abilities can she give people?"

"That's a nice list," one of the other boys said, having picked up the list from Claire and Amelia's minds when they thought about it.

"Everyone is too loud," Claire complained, trying to figure out how to stop the voices.

"What is going on?!" one of the scientists outside pushed a button and demanded, his voice coming through the speakers.

"I'm a Biokinetic and I'm fixing their immune systems, someone fucked them up," Amelia replied, trying to ignore the weird voices as she finished fixing the girl's immune system, more than a bit annoyed that someone had basically turned them into a walking plague.

"You could kill them," the scientist said, "they're infected."

"I already fixed that," Amelia replied as she took a look at their biology, trying to figure out how to duplicate their Telepathy and Telekinesis since it appeared to be biological. "Give me ten minutes to fix everything and you can put everyone through a decontamination shower."

"You're staying in containment if you're sick," the scientist warned them.

"That's fine," Amelia replied, not particularly worried about them trying to capture them.

I have no idea what they jumped into can't think of any series or show that has this theme still interesting tftc

David Lambert

I think it's an episode of Star Trek TNG.

ZeroLink21

Think I've heard about an episode like that but never actually watched it

Ben Benson

Definitely star trek.

Mist of Shadows

That would be the Darwin Station episode, it was basically an episode about a team of scientists that created a group of telepaths and telekinetics... then did something insanely stupid and messed with their immune system in ways that sound insanely idiotically stupid. Why not make a plant that does that... or a house pet or something you can transport to space when it goes wrong? Why screw with people that way, it was stupid and pointless and was probably supposed to highlight the dangers of messing with dna... but really just went into the mad scientists are stupid box.

MND

In would be interesting, if after this and its aftermath, Taylor still has to 'select' or 'skip' the other Challenges.

Mist of Shadows

Some of the challenges will probably come back up, maybe with each other, maybe with other things so she'll probably have the chance to deal with them.
