Evening all. I will do my best to get around to replying to all your messages as soon as I'm able, as usual with me everything has to be completed at the last minute.   Again, YouTube is not allowing the vid to reach 1440p so sorry about that, but the subtitles are done.  Part 2 of the epic 3 part series that see's me attempt to put the ghosts of Wales behind me and finally succeed in crossing a country in a straight line. In this episode we find out what impact Marius's missing bolt had on my 5 mile kayak across the reservoir, and see how I fare as I plunge into the rugged wilderness beyond...  Hope you enjoy.

Reyner Crosby

Domain of Science

I want to watch it now but I have work to do argh. Bloody work!! Definitely watching this later.

Len

What a great episode, thanks Tom! I can't wait for next week!

lokjuhas

Finally, always makes my day better, can't wait for next one

Josette Reynolds

Gripping stuff, the last episode looks mental

MusFuzZ

The highly anticipated sequel

Daniel Forssten

Strong effort there, keep it up! Note however that a counter-demand from the Nordic right to roam laws is to leave a minimal trace. Ideally that improvised camp fire should have been dismantled afterwards. :)

satysa

Absolutely brilliant! But why, oh why, just three parts :/

Benjamin McCann

That's also common etiquette anywhere else with similar rules and a golden rule in any wilderness. Surprised that slipped Tom's mind. That said, his is a very unusual and strenuous situation so I can understand not being 100% on the ball.

Tim

Amazing stuff

Jackson M-B

At last, the next episode of M A N has arrived.

Tyler Wrage

Absolutely epic one again. Can't wait for the conclusion!

Ryan

That conclusion looks insane! I can't wait to see what happens.

Luke Henderson

At 11:40: At that moment he knew he fucked up

Mark

The Patreon is so worth it. Can’t wait for next week

geowizard

Yep my bad on that one. Completely forgot to chuck those stones in my haze of anxiety. Cheers gents x

Ben Hassan

great episode as always :D

Unlikely To Help

The sound Verity made when you guys noticed the screw wasn't in. That was the "No More Lakes" sound.

Louis Darcy

Some of the best content out there. TV/youtube and everything else. Keep at it Tom

Anders Funch

The Midlands' power couple numero uno has done it yet again. Beautiful content. PS having kept the lens dry while crashing against waves, I do find it suspicious for the lens to suddenly become engulfed by ''water'' just after the piss break x

Stephen Scofield

That was awesome. These mission videos are my favourite content on YouTube. Like C4's Hunted, but not scripted in anyway. Really hope this isn't the last one you do!

Marte Kjelsberg

Another great episode! Next time looks scary...

Stacky

Seriously, is there a better way to start the weekend.

Markus Stenklev

The river running from the dam was probably so small because they were filling the lake back up again

jackalyn

The most anxiety filled episodes so far man!!! Amazing

river bower

Link isnt working for me it says the videos private anyone else have that issue?

Greg

Verity gets major props for the Red Sox jammies.

M Harris

I'd love to see you get this video into Davinci Resolve and do a colour grade on it, that scenery is amazing and the GoPro output doesn't do it justice. As a suggestion for another mission, if lockdown's continue: Cross each of the major Scottish islands in a straight line (Each in Orkney, Skye, Lewis/Harris)

Jake Brennan

Awesome so far Tom, can I make a suggestion for the future videos in the series? It looks to me like your export bitrate is set really low, when it gets busy with greenery and foliage it turns to a blocky mess. Try bumping it up to around 40-50Mbps, that might also fix the 1440p issues. YT might not like a low bitrate for that resolution :)

Why are these videos strangely relaxing, anybody else find that? Gutted there’s only three parts mate, appreciate the content though!

geowizard

Bit rate was far higher than needed Jake, must be another issue, looking into it!

Calum Stevens

I Kinda feel that 4:3 is part of what makes these videos :)

James Penney

Agreed, sort of his own style

James Penney

Just goes to show how if you have a good enough plot or story, equipment and gear doesnt matter

Sagamore

No, you gotta have the 4:3! It's part of the atmosphere. The original MAW especially feels like a video from like 2008 or something, in a really nice way.
