In Part 1, after a tricky first 3 miles we successfully scaled the Norbord factory fence without drawing too much attention to ourselves. Our aim now is to escape the factory, cross the high speed railway track, motorways and abandoned fishery that lay beyond and reach the sanctuary of the north third forest where we can make a fire, dry off and if we're really lucky, tune into the Rugby. With a host of obstacles and various people up ahead on our line, it's bound to be tasty.

Greg feels exactly the same. We can't really argue with that viewpoint, all we can say is that we didn't take the decision to cross these obstacles lightly. We could have gone further north where there are bigger mountains, but we are far less confident in that environment. The motorway, the railway track and the spiky fence, things that we have personal experience with, were effectively the lesser of two evils, and indeed necessary evils for us if we wanted to achieve what we regarded to be an incredible feat; a feat worthy of taking the odd risk.
