How's it going everyone? Firstly thanks so much all of you for signing up and supporting me on Patreon. The numbers are getting huge now, far higher than I ever expected so thank you so much for your incredible support.Just letting you know that instead of tomorrow night, the 3rd episode of the Scotland Mission will be released on Patreon on Saturday night at 8pm (BST). This is because the editing has caught up with me a bit and I am predicting that the subtitles won't be done in time for Friday night (largely due to a lengthy conversation with an irate local farmer, which you will need subtitles for) I'll still have to release it on YouTube on Sunday, so sorry about the shorter gap and the lateness. The bonus footage will of course be released after the whole series has been released. Also, largely due to that emails video I released, I now have 200 messages in my Patreon inbox, which is incredible, but It's going to take me a while to catch up, so don't be disheartened if you don't get a reply for a while. Have a great weekend everyone.Tom

No worries! Thanks for the update. Loving the series of course. Mostly because I really missed Welsh Greg in your Norway trip.

Preston

Thank you for all you do 🙌

Daniel

All good! Can’t wait.

Euan Marney

I’m scottish i won’t need subtitles just dm me the video on Friday ;)

William

Thanks for the heads up! Keep em' coming!

Dennis Weiß

Does it make sense to translate further videos? Do you have time to upload the subtitles I sent you? It's really time consuming and would like to continue if they really land on Youtube, but if not it's just a waste of time

Patrick Champion

The numbers are well deserved both here and on YouTube. I remember when you had 40,000 subscribers and now you're closing in on a million. Good luck with the editing, and I look forward to the video!

Sunil Patel

That "I'm seriously pissed off" snippet has been keeping me awake with suspense all week already, so what's one day more : ) And, these travel series are my favourite "telly", trumping anything on Netflix, I'm so impressed with it all. Couldn't be more worth the Patreon subscription.

Nuno Salvaterra

That's just fine! We're enjoying every minute of it!

Jason Menche

All good Tom, take your time mate it's well worth the wait!

Chris P

No worries pal. As long as it's quality take a the time you want.

Jamie Lovick

No problem darling, your mum's book btw is very good, I'm on page 60 and enjoying it tenfold.

Leon Melaisis

The only thing I can say for sure is that it is not coming home.

Brian Aarts

I probably watched so many Scottish vids by now that I won't need the subtitles :p Really looking forward to part 3.

Michael Webb

All good mate, this is turning into the best straight line mission yet, so happy to wait an extra day for it!

zenoarior

no worries tom, thank you

Hunter

Keen

Rubén Pérez

Really looking forward to that 'conversation' with the farmer ;D

Jake

Quality > quantity

Antoine Tertois

A french guy needs subtitles for those damn Scotts! No worries

Chris Colouryum

As always supporting you for creating the content. Not having priority of it. Been watching these on Sundays with a roast anyway so all good!

Rob Rycroft

Euros fantasy football league for the Patreons Tom?

Andy Burchardt

I’m so excited for this series. Take your time because this is special.

Tom Buckley

No rush matey, would rather late with the usual great editing :)

Sienna

take your time!

Cecily Taylor

"I'm getting too many emails." --> Everyone floods his patreon inbox. Haha. <3

Murrayz

Bloody legend man, take your time!

Podey Williams

No problem man, I will of course be aching to watch it tomorrow night but I'm sure it will be worth the wait!

geowizard

Haha it was well and truly both!

Cory Smith

I obviously don’t know how that encounter unravels, but that farmer is « sediously pessed uff » 😅

Liam Whelton

No worries, looking forward to it & hope you’re keeping well! c:

Podey Williams

I've given that a lot of thought, too, according to the subtitles he said "I'm sediously pessed uff wid it" so my guess is he's probably talking about lockdown or something relating to the government's pandemic response rather than our intrepid heroes XD

blueshift

My first thought that he was pissed off with people traipsing across his fields. Right to roam doesn't mean the farmer has to like it. We'll see on Saturday!

Aaron Ross

Im seriously pissed off....jk

Daniel Hientzsch

That does seem like the right way to do it, actually. What do you mean by roast, though? I’m from Germany, so I don’t get british customs.

João Costa

1 day earlier it's still a victory for me

Leigh Meredith

Hey Dan! A "Sunday Roast" is a British tradition that normally includes roast beef (or any meat), roast potatoes, vegetables and gravy. As the name suggests, it's typically a feast eaten on Sunday in either the afternoon or evening :)

Scott

Cheers Tom

Pol Van Acoleyen

199 of those mails are from a local farmer who is seriously pissed off with ya

Chris Colouryum

Yup as Leigh said, a traditional english meal, we tend to have it in the evening! We usually have chicken, pork & apple sausages, stuffing, roast potatoes and selection of veg with yorkshire pudding and then drown it in gravy! It's more of a winter thing so now it's finally getting hotter we probably won't be having them as often!

Patrick McCarthy

Looking forward to it! It's all about quality over quantity lad, take your time!

Scott T

Captions are greatly appreciated. I don’t think Canadian me would be able to interpret an old rural Scottish farmer

Shane Ewing

I signed up last week. I like to think it will go to a rung of the next ladder Tom buys

Ross Smith

cheers tom, cant wait to see it

Tec-Bert

I'm not from an English speaking country, but I'm having no problem to understand everything without subtitles. So no real need for them.

Jonas Bobjörk

The thing is, that some scottish people have a hard time getting understood by people speaking english :)

spontanemoose

Seconded! Also Canadian, I've even missed what the English say occasionally!

Tophat Pigeon

even scottish people can't understand scottish people

M Harris

I realise i'm way behind here, but next time you do something of questionable legality read the rules first - what you did was indeed legal and within the rules. 1) You were travelling for work. Permitted. 2) You were performing tasks related to Film and Television. Permitted. YouTube is as I understand it your primary income, so anything you are doing for your channel was a permitted reason to travel. If you were sharing any ad/patreon revenue with Greg, he's an employee as far as the govt is concerned, and therefore also covered. Likewise, film and TV is *incredibly* broad, and with millions of views you get more viewership than many TV shows in the UK, so well within the film and tv clause. The lockdowns were a total joke, there were so many allowable reasons to cross the border and to travel it wasn't funny.
