Just want to announce that in a couple of weeks times I'll be attempting to cross Wales again, for the third time, with the absolute goal of success. I have heard news of other imminent attempts, and despite increased bramble activity at this time of year, I must get out there and complete this feat just in case some else does. It's a much needed kick up the arse. Sadly Greg cannot make it for this mission because he cannot get the time off work at such short notice. Training hard for the mission however, is my brother Ben, who also has plenty of missioning experience from his youth, and will act as an emergency decoy if shit gets real with a farmer, boosting my chances. The line is a good one, the best yet (or even possible) in terms of success rate. This means less farms, less villages, less action in general. The trade off for this, hopefully is a much higher chance of success. Platinum success at that. I want to be the first person to cross a British country in a straight line, and I want to do it well. Hopefully Ben will be right there with me at the finish line. Planning will be meticulous and stealth will be paramount, however as confident as I am, anything can happen, as we know. If I fail, the series will not go on YouTube. It will instead go on Patreon (all tiers) Me and Greg would then probably attempt it for a fourth time in March.Feel free to let me know your thoughts! I read and appreciate all your comments! And the shoey..Filmed in late August 2016, Salzburg. Whilst hitchhiking across Europe in 2016, I met a particularly fun group of people at my hostel in Salzburg. Myself, another Tom from Australia and a surfer dude called Isaac were fully immersed in an already highly escalated game of "what are the odds". The game involves asking the other participant what the odds are that they'll perform a certain (usually stupid or embarrassing) task. Let's say I give you 1/10. On the count of three you each say a number between 1 and 10, and if they add up to 10, I have to do that task. This video was shot just after we left the hostel and made our way into town. By this stage, the tasks had become more and more daring and depraved, and the odds had become alarmingly low. This was the result - drinking a bottle of beer out of a random boot we found on the street, possibly left by a homeless person. I am not proud of this.

Hey Tom, I’m a farmer in Wales (West Wales, Carmarthenshire), if you need any help or advice with this, reach out and I’ll do my best to help out ❤️ good luck!

YESSSSSSSS!!! I can’t wait

Mark Furniss

Good luck mate. I understand your reasons but when you release the videos ‘us Patreon’s’ will know the outcome of it before we watch it. 😐

Nick Crossman

This is great news Tom. We all love Greg and can’t wait to see him on future missions but it will be great to see Ben doing one. Always good to keep it fresh and mix things up. I look forward to the day all 3 of you do a mission together? Maybe that wouldn’t be very stealthy though. Good luck.

Viniter

Best of luck, Tom! Third time the charm! I'm confident I'm not gonna need my patron privileges to see this one.

Sam Clarke

Pumped for this, best of luck!

BONES

I thought you said Shiey and I about shit my pants lol

Joonas

Fantastic news, good luck out there! Probably worth avoiding the open campfires this time around and stick to hiding in the dark with a small camping stove despite the smaller number of locals, haha :D

Azenhawke

Best of luck. And I thought you were talking about shiey 😂😂

coffeebean

Haha, thanks for actually delivering on the shoey I asked for in the YT comments of the 1 Mil subs video ;D

Romysh Bellucci

Tom, just so you know, 1 million people appreciate what you go through just to give us amazing content (not seen anywhere else). Thanks for your hard work and best of luck for the mission. Of course you are going to absolutely smash it! Cannot wait for you to touch that sea!

Louis

Best of luck Tom, you'll smash it this time for sure. You've learnt a lot from Scotland. Roughly, when can we expect to see the episodes? Before Christmas?

perry wulfse

was hoping to see a mission in Luxembourg or something but i get that Wales has to be done. Good luck

Joe

Good luck Tom! Can't wait for the footage.

Louise B

> If I fail, the series will not go on YouTube. Spoilers, lol

Aaron Ross

Why is no one talking about the shoe? Stoked for another Str8 line mish

Vlad Stoenescu

Good luck Tom, say a big "Get in" at the end

Louis Charles

the way we play odds on is if we both say the same number lol.

Luke Hogan

I vote you do a shoey at the end of every successful mission

Cory Smith

Best of luck Tom. I have a good feeling this one is gonna be platinum! I wonder, has Isle of Man ever come to mind as a possible straight line mission for you?

‘‘CK’’ wiťh manual curly quotes

Hey Tom, very best of luck, and my partner wants your partner to be thanked for her patience — we exchange knowing glances while watching your missions, because I get the same kind of generosity too. Also: We don't mind that it's a solo mission! For some reason that we're not sure of, surprisingly it makes for a better video or travelogue style or something like that. The pace is different or it's One Man Versus The Elements, less laddish, who knows? The focus is on the environment and not the camaraderie maybe. Which is, it shouldn't matter? (What's wrong with mates on a quest?) But somehow it's nicer that way, we both think.

Ghostnotes

That shoe lookin' hella disgusting ngl, is that where he gets the geowizardry from?

Oats

Hope even if you fail the mission it will be on youtube in some way shape or form further down the line. Best of luck

Domain of Science

Good luck Tommy! I so bad want you to be the first person to achieve a British straight line mission. But please take some cliff bars this time, I don't think the hard gums cut it. You can do it!!

geowizard

If I succeed Greg and I will conquer another country so don’t worry 🙃

geowizard

Will probably message you next week mate thanks!

geowizard

Yeah true, didn’t think of that. Can’t be avoided in this case I’m afraid 😟

geowizard

Hopefully, but most likely Jan or Feb, have another mission to edit too. Depends on how good this one is. Will keep you posted.

JeroenL

3rd time's the charm, I wish you the best of luck!

Graham Fox

Tom - bring some real healthy food this time! You'll be amazed the difference it makes. Also, that boot brings me back to the rugby days.

Mark Furniss

I’m sure it’ll still be epic mate! Anymore real life geoguesser in the future ?

Eivind Sorgenfryd

Good luck to you both. Craving to watch another straight line mission

Sparky

Best of luck.

Barhir

Best of luck mate!

Brodie Appleby

Fark next level shoey, putting us aussies to shame mate. Keen for Wales 3, best of luck!

Ale C

I think this is where covid started

Ethan Brier

with covid regulations no more, I really hope you can succeed this one

coffeebean

I feel honored mate (:

geowizard

Believe it or not I do eat pretty well out in the field Graham but I seem to have given off the impression that I only eat sweets!

Graham Fox

hah, that must have been an impression from your first missions or so when you only took random sweets and crisps. I guess in the more recent you have been adding in cous-cous and sardines. That's healthy at least :)

Scott T

I don’t know if it’s just continental differences but I the Canadian version of “what are the odds” if you both say the same number then you have to do it

Ruth Freund

I'm german, and when i play with my friends it's both, same number or added up. But we also play from 1 to 30 :D

Oliver White

Yeah that's called "Odds on" in the UK

bryce

Woo hoo! I reckon he's filming Wales right now.
