Ahhhh, the sweet sound of a project finally breaking free from development hell...

As a lot of you know, Albert began his existence as a failed stand-up comedian. There's a couple of "live" shows he "recorded" - Broken Glass Snack and Bowling for Blood - and every now and again I would write more jokes for him...but they didn't fit anywhere. They were so weird, what was his motivation? Revenge on the audience? An attempt to kill stand-up comedy completely?

So for a lonnnnng time I kept writing and recording introductions to various new stand-up comedy series that all start with him explaining who he is and all the abuse he suffered from audiences, etc etc, the usual Albert...but I hated that it created another project with an asymmetrical first episode that people had to hear to fully get the rest of the episodes. Then the magic trick happened...stick the entire explanation of the show on the thumbnail in three sentences (a'la movie poster strategy), now he can get right to telling the joke, the eps can be enjoyed separately in any order, almost like No One Laughed is a band and the jokes are songs.

Anyhoo - for folks in the mood for old-school Albert weirdness, he's back to comedy failure anti-glory, telling the jokes that got him banned from stand-up comedy (...and it's probably a good thing that no one laughed).

Yesterday I went to Tillamook forest and slept on a big, flat rock in the middle of a very shallow babbling brook for a good three hours under a bright, blue, cloud free sky. This lizard under the sun loves you, you random guy, and your work! (And misses our chats!)

Pretty decent! I've been working at Intel again so the commuting time sucks but that's also more time for listening to podcasts and the like. You still in socal? If you ever find yourself up in the northwest, I think you should know that Seattle has a pinball museum you'd adore. I gave it a visit last year, 10/10

I think I've heard about that pinball place, it's definitely on the list. I am now in MidCal, along the coast. After the traveling, just plopped down here without knowing a soul, ended up charming my way into theater things - but it was a lonely while until that happened. What's the Intel shift like, is it a 9 to 5?
