Didn’t even know there was a director’s cut

I can't find it in my country so that sucks, idk if it'll be worth watching along since idk what would be different Edit: I just looked it up and there's a huge difference between the theatrical and director's cut. I won't be able to watch along since I can't find the director's version anywhere for my country. Really sucks cause every musical you guys have posted lately has had some sort of problem. Hamilton wasn't synced correctly, Sweeney Todd was somehow running slower to my own version, and now this..

I always loved this film. Also, In college, in made stage production class, I actually worked on making a set for Little Shop of Horrors, so this film is major nostalgia for me. :)

I didn't even know there was a directors cut... I'll have to wait to purchase that version before I watch this reaction... Excited to watch the directors cut for the first time with a group of my favorite people on my favorite reaction channel

I have copies of all of the iterations of this film including the black and white original directed by the late great Roger Corman. The OG version is much darker and I have to say the music alone makes the Frank Oz one my favorite, but the OG features a young Jack Nicholson as the dental patient of Dr. Scrivello. Worth a watch! I also recommend finding the performance of Mean Green Mother performed at the Oscars that year. Audrey Ii sang it and I’m still trying to figure out how they did that!

I've loved this movie/musical since I was a kid! My favorite BTS tidbit is that the amazing "Skid Row" set was filmed in the Albert R. Broccoli soundstage, aka the "007 stage", one of the biggest in the world, where so many Bond films had large set pieces filmed! But I know there have been plenty of other movies, including some that the Rejects have reacted to recently, also filmed there -- The first 3 Superman films, The Fifth Element, Alien 3, Prometheus, Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows, Mission Impossible, Pirates of the Caribbean... even the 1989 Batman (though not Batman returns IIRC, as Andrew postulated), plus so many more films had big set pieces shot in there!

😳 I didn’t know there was a director’s cut. I watched along with you and that ending is UNHINGED. I wasn’t expecting it to be so different. They had so much footage that took so many people (extras, effects) to create that I can’t believe they just tossed it away. That being said… I’m traumatized. lol. I’ll stick to my HEA. As I’m typing this I’m seeing you’re going to watch the theatrical and I’m excited to see your reaction to that. Thanks as always for a great reaction! ☺️

Finally I am able to watch this movie!!! I bought the directors cut as an early Christmas present to me and I forgot how much I loved this movie but boy did the Directors cut ending upset me because the OG theatrical I grew up with Audrey and Seymour survive and he kills the plant by electrocution so I didn't hate it but it upset me nonetheless 😭❤️❤️ Now onto Monty Python and the Holy Grail I go!!!
