Halloween ends is a very bizarre and out there sequel what are your thoughts on Corey and do you think he should have been there since the beginning of the trilogy or just not there period

MadLove

Halloween Ends - You made it! The question of the hour: How do you guys feel about this as a final entry to this timeline? Do you think it did this particular timeline justice? If you've noticed, this trilogy mirrors the first 3 films of the franchise in small ways (1st being about Michael escaping and making his way back home, 2nd keeping Laurie in the hospital, 3rd wanting to separate itself from Michael Myers). Personally, this makes me love the film because it shows how they wanted to give an ode to Carpenter's orginal idea while mixing it with what ended up becoming THE franchise, Michael Myers. David Gordon Green also stated that the film took inspiration of many of Carpenter's films.

Jaden Rhodes

Baby Driver: This movie use of music to mix in with certain stuff like gunshots is amazing, it’s my favourite thing about this movie, do y’all really like that like or do, but I’m not sure how you couldn’t.

DeAndre

Halloween ends: how do you pitch a reboot/continuation of the franchise going forward? Or should this truly be the “end”?

Halloween Ends Question 2 (if time left) - This film left people with many questions, including about Michael's strength. Here is my theory: I believe that his source of strength comes from the mask itself, but that the mask gets its source of power from killing. In 2018, we saw the patients react to the mask when the podcaster brought it out to Michael, with a slight reaction from him. In this film, we see a weak Michael seemingly gaining strength when he kills those who Corey leads to him or leads him to. We don't see Michael initiate a "hunt" until Corey has taken his mask, and what he hunts for is the mask. I believe that it was also the mask that tapped into Corey's memory and allowed Michael to see what happened to him. Would you agree with this theory or do you have your own? (I can rant about this for much longer but am trying to keep it short, lol.)

Troy Accola

Hello Tara and Roxy, wow what a journey! I just wanted to ask , if you had to choose the better Halloween movie between Rob Zombies Halloween 2 or Halloween ends, which would it be? One version was experimental with things like the ghost mom and having Michael speak. The other, by barely having him in his own finale and making him a little bitch boy. I’m curious. Love you both

Halloween Ends (fun facts): - The opening credits are the same as the credits for Season of the Witch (seeing this helped me go into the film with the idea that it would be different) - The twirling of the hair that Laurie does while talking to Frank in the grocery store is a reference to Laurie twirling her hair while talking on the phone with Annie about the boy she liked in the og - Laurie's outfit in the final battle were modeled after her outfit in the og

MadLove

General fun fact: In the final scene of this film, Laurie says "Evil never dies, it just changes shape." Since Michael Myers was supposed to be a "one and done" slasher, he was listed as "The Shape" in the original films (this continued in all but 4 of the MM centered films). According to Jamie Lee, there's a contract that states Michael Myers cannot die so the final line of the film could imply more films to come, but we shouldn't expect the Michael Myers character to return (obviously) but what is now known as the Michael Myers mask.

Jaden Rhodes

Halloween Ends: This movie was marketed as Michael v Laurie, but we only got 10 minutes of them going at each other. But instead we do this thing that pisses me off, we got a character like Corey who could have worked if you set him up in Kills, but you didn’t, so we are stuck watching this movie waiting for Michael to leave his dumb sewer drain. This may not be the worst movie, but it’s definitely the one that left the most disappointed. But I’m curious do y’all like the movie, and do y’all like the character of Corey.

Hey guys. Are u still shooting friends? It was supposed to come out yesterday.

DEXTER 5x5 & 5x6 (John & Andrew) - Question boxer short or briefs for Dexter there.

Sean Fleming

Roxy and Tara sorry for the incoming rant.... The movie is trash. Its like 4 movies in 1. Its a junior high emo love story. Allison and Corey fall in love with each other so much Allison wants to run away with him after a week. Yeah ok lol. They make Michael a week senior citizen who's just hanging out under the only bridge in town living off of rodents after they spent all of Halloween Kills making him supernatural (the guy survied a mob beating) then some punk(Corey) comes along and just man handles him. At this point are they passing the baton on to Corey? Will he help Michael kill Laurie or will he just kill Laurie for Michael??? No they are not... they are not passing the baton. All of a sudden Corey and Michael are Thelma and Louise and go on killing a spree where Michael seems to be getting stronger after every kill like hes in a Highlander movie. Michael then decides hey guy I know weve been buddies for the last 90 mins and killed people together, which Ive never done before (you're my first lol) I think we should break up. Hes then strong enough and kills Corey but all of a sudden is weak again and cant kill Laurie. Give me a break. This is a movie that had too many writers in the room. It doesnt know what it is and what it wants. Anyway what'd you think lol?

jaynguin

Halloween Ends: Hello Scream Queens! Now that you've finished the new trilogy, do you see Michael as human or supernatural? The writers were pretty insistent that he was not a supernatural being, but given everything it took to put him down what do you think?

Jay Rushton

BABY DRIVER (Greg, Andrew & Aaron ) - Question what your favorite music in the movie there.

Chase Lee

Halloween Ends: Is this how you would have ended the Laurie story? If they were going to do this, they should have introduced Corey in an earlier movie. Do you think this trilogy was planned out ahead of time?

Scooby Dooby Doo

Halloween Ends: How do the queens feel like this franchise stacks up against the other iconic franchises you've visited thus far.

Loxley

BABY DRIVER YES! - If you had to pick a skill like this, but it comes with a drawback. What would you choose? I already have Tinnitus so ill take some sweet driving skills.

Jaydelle

Hi Tara & Roxy! 🎃💀 What if Halloween Ends was secretly showing a cycle of trauma repeating itself — like Haddonfield is cursed to always create another “Michael” every generation? Would that idea make the trilogy’s ending feel more poetic or more frustrating to you? Dropping a couple more fun facts for you both: Halloween Ends was filmed back-to-back with Halloween Kills — meaning Jamie Lee Curtis wrapped one movie and jumped straight into the finale just weeks later! The movie’s working title during production was “Cave Dweller,” to keep the real plot a secret and prevent leaks while filming in Savannah, Georgia.

Sanya Arif

Not related to this shooting but the next Friends reaction on Youtube when?

ResonanceZ

Baby Driver: I’ve been had! What do you mean this movie isn’t about a guy driving a baby around!? All kidding aside, I do love this movie. More of a silly question, but everyone in the crew has a codename to protect their identity; if you were a part of the crew, what would your codename be?

StonedTrunks

Halloween ends: evil finally died tonight, so shejects after having watched all the movies what timelines would you say is your favorite, thorn timeline: h1-6, h20 timeline: h1-ressurection, rob zombie timeline, or the new timeline

Leon03

Halloween Ends QUESTIONS. I personally LOVE this movie. I think it's a great homage to John Carpenter movies in general (particularly Christine). Its ambitious, and I think it works great as an EPILOGUE for this timeline, rather than an actual final "chapter" if that makes sense. This also marks the longest time that an actor played Michael Myers (James Jude Courtney surpassing George P Wilbur in H4 & H6 & Tyler Maine in both remakes). However I understand there are big issues with the script. Following up from my question where i mentioned that this franchise has a bad habit of starting a new timeline with a great movie and ending it with a bizarre sequel, what changes would've yall made to the movie according to both's personal preference? How would y'all rank the Michael Myers MASKS AND the movies as a whole?

Leon03

Funfact Halloween Ends: The music was composed by Daniel Davies, John Carpenter & his son once again following up from 1978, 2018 and Kills. While John Carpenter already made an original song with a band and used it for a scene in Halloween 1978. Don't Fear The Reaper (DFTR) was used more famously during the car scene with Laurie and her friend Annie. DFTR was used once again in Halloween 2007 and finally for the end credits in this movie which I find fitting. Plus the fonts for the tittle credits in this new trilogy use the same font from H1 - H3 (the John Carpenter ones) as in H2018 uses the H1978 font, H Kills uses the H2 1981 font, and Ends uses the blue H3 font.

Emmaaaaa

Dexter! Another short one today, What do you guys think of the Debra Quinn relationship? Do you like it? Do you think it'll last? Or do you think Debra's relationships are all doomed to end brutally? Also Masuka's description of the crime scene Dexter set up always makes me laugh lol

Christina

Dexter: Hey John and Andrew, I’ve been watching the Dexter reactions from the beginning and I’ve been waiting until we got here to submit a question. I remember season 5 getting so much flack when it came out with season 4 being such a big act to follow. Season 5 is personally one of my favorite seasons and Lumen is one of my favorite characters of the entire series. I think as a woman I find Lumen’s journey and wanting justice such a powerful message to watch. What do you think of the relationship that Dexter is forming with Lumen? Do you think Dexter helping Lumen will also help him?

Hasena Ali

Not a question but if Halloween Kills is up on YouTube next Thursday, the Reel Rejects should upload Halloween Ends next Friday as it’s….. Halloween. It makes perfect sense to have the final Halloween film reaction on YouTube that day

thereelrejects

Pretty much asked with regards to the other in the big 3 which will most likely lead to others as well so I wanted to give you the shot to ask another one! - PLD

The questions (or similar in vein) were asked below so I wanted to give you the shot to ask another - PLD

Thank you! I edited my original question, above :)

This question was asked down below so I wanted to give you a chance to ask a different question! - PLD

Hey Greg, Andrew & Aaron! Hope you loved Baby Driver. What is your favorite song or piece of music in the daily soundtrack of your own life? Like, when you're drivin around what music are you blasting? I'm a Beastie Boys fan cause I'm rhyming and stealin. Thanks Rejects!

Alan Smithee

One more for Baby Driver. What is the favorite car that you've ever owned? Doesn't have to be fancy, just a reliable car that carried you through an era of your life. Could be a motorcycle or a scooter too. I had a Mazda 3 I used to love driving. Thanks!

RC Flores

Halloween Ends. I'm in the group that doesn't like Ends. It's down there with Resurrection and the Rob Zombie entries. However, I can respect that Ends took a big risk. Twice we've been teased with a new killer taking over for Michael. First Jamie in part 4, then Corey in Ends. Is it time the writers finally take that risk and move on to a new killer?

Christina

I completely forgot about his description 😂

PierretheReject

For Halloween Ends: How do you guys would've seen this trilogy better if you were in a directors chair? I think this was the wackest of the trilogy.

jamie gore

I assume too late for what I originally had planned, but shoutout to Roxy and Tara! I love the Halloween franchise, and I appreciate all the eyes yall are putting on the slasher sub genre!

Vampire Toad

I missed this post 🥲 i didn’t see the notif 💀

Re: Dexter; fun fact: Responding to John in a previous ep, Michael and Jennifer were married about 2years, they eloped after s3, together through s4 and divorced a few months after s5 was announced. They are still very close. They are both happily married now. But yes, plenty of working together amidst being a freshly separated couple. Learning this definitely had me studying the actors interactions more during my viewing.

Scooby Dooby Doo

Thank you! With the trilogy done. What studio, director and writer would you guys choose to take the helm for a new film? Basically your dream scenario?

Danny O'Malley

With roxy and tara doing their favourite halloween movies on Friday does that mean you are posting the last 2 halloween movies thos week before they do that?
