The HallowGreen trilogy is my favorite timeline. I love every film in it (yes, even Ends 😅) and I can't say the same for any of the others.

This was my favorite among the new trilogy. The moment at the end in the basement with Judy Greer...everyone in the theater gasped then clapped and got so hype. A core memory for sure.

I mean the film was a box office success, grossing over $133 million worldwide. But if you gave me a choice between this or kills then I'm choosing Halloween 2018.

I like all 3 as well, but they do more and more stupid stuff as they go on. The "evil dies tonight" saying got very very annoying as Kills went on and they did the "that little fat guy must be Michael!" idiot mob scene. Those 2 things really hurt that film. Then in Ends how they tried to do the "evil has been transferred" thing was just dumb. I'm trying to stay vague in case Tara reads this and to avoid spoilers for patrons who haven't seen them yet, but there's just multiple bad ideas coming up in future films that kept this trilogy from being truly great. If they were all on par with this film, it would be the greatest horror trilogy ever made.

The Shejects have already watched all 3, but members who are waiting should look away now, lol. I have to disagree with you. Except for maybe the repetitive chant in Kills. The first one showed us how he traumatized Laurie. Kills showed how he traumatized the town. I viewed the town as a character itself in that film. The trilogy also mirrors the original first 3 of the franchise (even sprinkles elements from all other films, including the mob who kills someone they only thought was Michael like in Return), so for me, the moment I saw the opening credit sequence of Ends was the same as Season of the Witch, I expected the movie to try and deviate some way from Michael. Personally, I never viewed it as the evil being transferred, but the mask being what contains the evil. We get a hint of that in 2018 with the way the inmates react to it, and Michael does without even seeing it. The mask gives strength to the already evil (or potentially evil) person who wears it but it needs them to kill in order to regain its own power. It adds on to Ends mirroring Season with "magical masks." That was my theory when I first watched it anyway and when I rewatched it, it felt right to me, and I have no qualms about it.

For Roxy, Dave was this movie's Bob (the one who made the creepy joke about ripping Lindsey's clothes off); the annoying boyfriend who you're not really upset dies 😂 They were also both pinned to the wall, and he gave Vicki the ghost costume.
