Obsession: I’m curious in the age of horror of movies, I’m curious what is yalls favorites of the 2020s so far. My favorites are this, Barbarian, Weapons, Sinners, and both 28 Years Later movie.

Hasena Ali

Obsession - Curry Barker has been announced to direct A24’s Texas Chainsaw Massacre reboot which is very exciting. Is there any other horror franchise you would like to see his take on? After seeing his parody of Saw on YouTube, I wouldn’t mind him directing a reboot

Jaydelle

Obsession: Hey Greg & John! Bear starts out as someone you almost want to root for before his choices become increasingly disturbing. Was there a specific moment where you realized, “He’s crossed a line—this isn’t someone I should be sympathizing with anymore”? What was that turning point for you? Fun Fact: Director Curry Barker has said Obsession was inspired by the idea of limerence—an unhealthy, all-consuming infatuation. The supernatural wish was added later, inspired by a The Simpsons episode featuring a monkey’s paw, to turn that emotional obsession into a horror story. Also, Curry Barker was the voice of the Customer Service Operator Beat spoke to when he tried to alter/cancel his wish.

Natphilia

Obsession: Hi Greg & John (: Curry Barker stated in an interview that he received an offer of $2 million to rewrite script and make Bear the hero of the movie which he obviously rejected. Why do you think that keeping Bear's role as the villian was important to the execution of the film?

PierretheReject

Obsession: Do you think Inde Navarrette deserves an Oscar for her performance?

CasuelAaron

Obsession: hey guys love the channel I’m not a big horror/thriller fan but I saw this in theaters I’ve never had chills run through my body like that while watching a movie Inde Neverette gave and incredible performance do you guys think this is a candidate for movie of the year

Jules R

Obsession: This movie was so well done, loved it a lot, but I was definitely creeped out to the point of being too scared to sleep in the dark, have you guys ever had that experience when watching something scary?

Flev Dorin

Obsession: I'm not the biggest horror fan, mainly cause I see through the tropes and don't get scared, but the car scene I SAW IT A MILE AWAY that something is gonna happen, yet the execution from the gruesome kill to Nikki's immediate switch in cadence was fantastically frightening! How do you think this movie handled this horror tropes?

daniminimo

Obsession: Curry barker stated that Nikki is not demonically possessed. Instead, the wish itself has warped her, while the real Nikki is still trapped beneath it. He has described it more like there are essentially “two Nikkis” sharing one body. Do you guys think he achieved that goal? Or did it feel like a possession?

Jen Smith

No question, just know I’m so proud of you guys fighting the good fight to keep YouTube fair to all channels. I’m so sorry you guys are getting hit. You guys rock and I really do hope Universal gets their shit together!

Riley Petersen

Obsession: I was surprised to see you guys doing 3 separate reactions for this movie, although I understand since it has been everywhere since it came out in theaters. Did this live up to the hype among the Rejects enough to consider doing more multi-reactions in the future?

Sickleweed

I was wondering why all the gentlemen sat this one out, glad you didn't! No questions, looking forward to your reaction, hope it stays up on YT unbothered!

Jay Rushton

OBSESSION (Greg & John) - Question will you give reactions to Backrooms there.

ResonanceZ

Obsession: Hope both of you aren’t feeling too icky after the movie! Here’s a more light hearted question to cleanse the palette! If you were working at the store that sold the One Wish Willows, what would you do or say when someone brought one up to buy? Also, just a random observation; the most unrealistic part of the movie to me was how many people were working at the small music store at the same time.

Mikoy Ona

Hi! I just became a Patreon and this is the first time I'll ask a question :) If you could ask Curry Barker one question about Obsession, what would it be? Was there any scene or character choice that made you think, 'I need to know why he did it this way'?

Andrew Ledesma

Obsession: What wish should have bear made? Since the one wish willow take his wording literally. I think he should have used the wish on himself to gain more confidence into asking Nikki out. What are your thoughts?

Shessohigh

OMG guys, I found the friends auditions video titled, when 6 auditions changed tv forever

xflipjamsx

Obsession: If you had a one wish willow, what would you wish for? And how would fix the repercussions if there is any?

thereelrejects

Unfortunately these are only for that day since that is when it is being recorded! - PLD

This movie got me to literally have to unsubscribe to another reaction channel I followed for years 😂 everyone in the comments was giving their rating and I gave it a 5.5-6/10 and my god they all wanted my head on a stick 😂 as someone who physical copy wise owns 2,000+ movies I was told repeatedly that I have absolutely no taste and have probably never watched a movie in my life, when (as someone who’s currently in filmmaking school) my whole life is literally movies 😂 hope you guys enjoy(ed) it though!! For a first time filmmaker with such a small budget a 6/10 is really solid and I can’t wait to see what he’s got in store for future projects!!
