Not the movie I expected this morning but a banger nonetheless. Looking forward to the reaction. On a side note, why are studios so weird about letting folks know when they’re releasing stuff to digital?

I think re: Stockholm Syndrome, we have done the research and determined that it wasn't actually a thing that occurs and it's just women appeasing men in order to stay alive. Anyway, Greek scholars have long theorized that Achilles and Patroclus were not actually cousins, but rather lovers. With that being said, it makes more sense that Achilles likely kept her in his tent to protect her from the rest of the men who would have sexually assaulted her and did not touch her. This also leads to why Achilles completely lost his shit when Patroclus was killed by Hector but then recognizes the error of his ways once confronted with Priam's kindness. Thank you to the ladies for saying that this is the Director's Cut right at the beginning of the video, much appreciated. Saved me from having to scroll through the time stamps to try and decipher which version this was. Can you guys please start putting the version in the title? If someone rents or buys the movie, they need to know which version to get before spending their money. Putting it right in the title saves people the headache of trying to research different versions and prevents them from wasting money on the wrong one.

You mentioned wanting to be the crew on the Odyssey. Be prepared. It's going to be a longggg wait. Nolan's contract demands that his movies get an extended exclusive theater run before coming to digital release. It's usually around 4 months. It'll be at least Thanksgiving by the time The Odyssey releases for a reaction.

Why would you go to the theater if you knew the movie you wanted to see would be out on digital a couple of weeks later? It's better to not announce it too far in advance so people feel the need to buy a ticket. It's usually simple enough to find out. Most studios have a time frame they stick pretty close to. If the last 5 WB films released on digital 45 days after debuting theatrically, you can likely bet that the next WB film will also be 45 days. There are exceptions though like Obsession and Super Girl. Obsession did so insanely well in theaters that they delayed the digital release and Super Girl did so badly that they're rushing it to digital very soon.

THat one is on me. If I know it, I put it in the title generally! - Sometimes, I'm not even aware unless they say it! - PLD

one of the things that this movie needs most is the meddling of the gods themselves and their agendas in this whole story. but in order to do that this movie would be four or five hours long lol

It is important to remember that in the context of the movie, the best warrior on the planet essentially saved her from being raped and killed multiple times. So while he isn't a 'good man' by today's standards, he is comparitively a good man by the standard of the time (as depicted in the film) (Hector undoubtedly is the hero of the movie though)

I was actually able to find a Directors Cut on a streaming service and I am absolutely shooketh! I usually have to skip these (unless I have them on DVD) Like I STILL haven't watched the X- Men: Rogue Cut or Terminator 2 Judgement Day (as well as others) for this reason so I'm excited to watch this with the gals! 😁❤️❤️
