Question for cat in the hat. Did you expect as much adult jokes and this is what Lead to the sues family stoping live action movies.

Jaden Rhodes

Cat in the Hat: This movie has been memed to oblivion, I curious if y’all have heard or seen them before, and do yall have a favorite line me and best friend will say weekly the line “Honey it was Ruined When She Bought it.”

FRIDAY THE 13TH PART VIII: This is one of my least favorite movies in the franchise. Budget cuts by the studio meant Jason was stuck on a ship for much of the movie and even after the setting shifts to the city, much of the principal photography was done in Vancouver. Is there anything you guys liked about the movie?

Friday the 13th Part 8: This movie gets a lot of flack because of a title, mainly because the title should have been titled Jason takes a boat ride or Jason Takes Manhattan for 10 minutes. But besides that I honestly kinda like this movie, it also has one of my favorite kills in the franchise with Jason punching that guys head off, I’m curious if that is one of y’all’s favorite kills. But I do think the ending where Jason turns into a little boy because of the toxic sewer water is so dumb, I’m very curious how yall feel about that ending.

Friday 8: From the conclusion of this movie there was alot of rumors being thrown around like Jason vs TMNT, or Jason vs the punisher. There were also talks of Freddy vs Jason even earlier then when it came out. My question is would you have preferred any of those crossovers, or go back to more of the camp crystal friday approach?

Cat in the Hat: My fav Tara! And Greg (^-^)/ jk love ya both. What's your favorite practical effect from the movie?

Friday the 13th 8 - Jason Takes Manhattan: Hey Jackie and Paige, hope you're having a great day despite having to watch this. I'm pretty sure this was the first Friday the 13th movie I saw, and I end up just rooting for Jason because the characters are awful. Which movie do you think had worse characters: this or Part 5?

Friday the 13th part 8 question 1: This film wasn't as censored as the previous film, but still most deaths are off screen. Also Jason's appearance keeps changing each movie due the different director's & makeup team with this one going for a literal slimy "swamp" look. How do y'all feel about this film's rendition of Jason despite the fact that the same actor from the previous film returns? Can y'all also react to the film's uncut deaths available on the YT channel "MFMT" (MyFanMadeThings)?

Leon03

Friday the 13th part 8 question 2: This film was originally going to be the last Friday the 13th film which is why Jason's inner " soul" (the kid) is freed at the end from the toxic waste. This & Halloween 5: The Revenge of Myers came the same year & both were the lowest grossing film in their own franchise. Coincidentally both franchises moved to be studio properties in their next film in their 90s debut (Jason Goes To Hell & H6: Curse of Michael) with New Line buying the rights of Jason. Since studio meddling was notorious in the 90s (Halloween 6: Curse) how y'all think the next film will turn out or what predictions & expectations y'all have for the sequel considering how crazy the concepts are getting each time?

Leon03

Friday the 13th part 8 question 3: This film retcons the fact that Jason Voorhees was born with deformities & drowned as such. And it makes it seem like he looks the way he does because of how long he was underwater. The new TV Show & the 2009 remake brings back his disabilities as part of his origins tho. What do y'all think of this lore aspect of the Jason character & this retcon overall?

Madison Rounds

Cat in the hat: Hi Greg & Tara! 🫶This one of those movies that was not well received at the time of its release but people seem to be looking back at it fondly now. Personally, I loved watching this movie as a kid and still do occasionally 😂 Do you think critics were too harsh or were they justified?

Friday the 13th part 8 trivia: 1.Many of the actors wondered how the ship got out of Crystal Lake and into the Atlantic Ocean. Since most of them were just happy to be in a film they didn't bring it up to the producers or director. Actor Vincent Craig Dupree was quoted saying "this damn boat could have come from the Sahara Desert and gotten into the Atlantic". "I don't care, I'm not gonna challenge the concept". 2 .Sharlene Martin (Tamara) initially expressed discomfort at being filmed nude for a shower scene. To put her at ease, director Rob Hedden borrowed a page from theater and film lore and stripped down fully nude and walked into the shower himself to illustrate how easy it all was. Unfortunately, he didn't realize the camera was rolling the whole time. When the producers watched the dailies the next morning they were very, very confused as to why their director was standing completely nude in a shower. Martin said the director's act helped her lose her inhibitions and film her shower and death scene fully nude. 3.Lar Park-Lincoln originally wanted to sign on to reprise her role as Tina Shepard in Part 8, but she wanted a higher salary than what she was paid in Friday the 13th: The New Blood (1988). Paramount told her that their budget could not afford to pay her anymore than what she bargained for and because of this she turned down the part. Thus, Paramount decided to re-write the entire script for Part 8 to take the movie to a whole new direction, which later completely excluded the character of Tina as they decided they did not want anyone from Part 7 to return.

Friday the 13th: Jason and Pamela (how are we 8 movies in and I’m just realizing y’all share initials) I love how weird this movie is. I recognize it’s not a good movie, but it’s so much more fun than the other bad movies in the franchise. What’s a bad movie you can’t help but love?

TBBT 4x11-15: Hi J & A ! - Raj & Bernadette perform a classic sitcom daydream sequence with a Bollywood twist. Q?: Do you like when a show unexpectedly adds a musical number? What about the trope of the "special" musical episode?

CareBear

Fun Fact (clarify): Mayim Bialik was a popular 90s child/teen actress, headlining the sitcom "Blossom". So in season 1, Raj says the gang should "get the girl from Blossom" on their Physics Bowl team. At that time, Bialik had left acting to become a neuroscientist. She later confessed to Howard Stern that she initially only agreed to TBBT's one-episode guest offer so her SAG insurance/status wouldn't lapse. Rest is tv history.

Friday the 13th 8 Hi Paige Hi Jackie hope you are enjoying Jason's joyride to Canada lol. My question is were you taken aback by the toxic waste being dumped into the sewers? were you expecting Donatello to pop out at any point? I am one of the few who doesn't hate this one but its certainly not the best.

Cat in the hat. Hiiiiii Greg and Tara, This is genuinely one of the funniest movies I’ve watched. It’s just a bizarre movie for me. However I’m curious what would you both rank this movie out of 10?
