Wow HI EVERYONE!!! What an emotional roller coaster I've been on. Like so many, I spent the first few weeks of this pandemic in mourning. Mourning what my life was and everything I thought it would be. Of course, with big change comes so much possibility, but the weight of the unknown is overwhelming.

About a month ago, I woke up feeling a little more optimistic and open to possibility. I made coffee, misted my plants, started to plan my day, and then I took just one wrong step. My ankle gave in, my foot snapped, and I fell to the ground. I couldn't walk for 2-3 weeks, and I'm still not fully recovered. Feeling helpless in a variety of ways put me in kind of a dark place and it's been hard to feel creative or motivated.

Luckily, I was asked to be a part of another virtual burlesque show. It was a delightful excuse to get out of my head and do something fun. I also had to work around the fact that I couldn't quite shift my weight onto my left foot, so I thought I'd do something a little less dance focused. The song Goodbye Horses by Q Lazzarus came up on one of my playlists, and it just felt right. I loooove this song. It's about someone going through a traumatic event, letting go, and reaching a higher level of consciousness. You also might remember it from Silence of the Lambs.

I'm super proud of what I ended up putting together. It was really fun to cut together footage from 2 separate takes. Enjoy!!
