안녕하세요 PD님~~ At last, I have catched up to your latest reaction to this drama and as always, I've enjoyed your reaction and analysis. 감사합니다 PD님 ☺️ What makes me love this drama is it's ability to be predictable, but still make it work with beautiful writing, cinematography and delivery. I love analyzing the psychology of characters in dramas that I've watched, and I don't like it when a character do or say something that is not in line with the situation or mindset of that particular character especially if it was done just to prolonged the storyline and insert unnecessary conflict in the drama. For this drama, I can understand the reasoning behind each characters' behavior and decision due to their upbringing, backstory, trauma and mindset, and that is why I love the writing in this drama. PD님, I don't know if you watch anime or not but I really want to recommend an anime called 'Fruits Basket'. I used to watched it when I was small but they had a reboot with better animation now.. I really enjoy it and thought you might enjoy it as well.. 😊

I've ALWAYS been curious about Fruit Baskets. Can I ask you in the simplest terms what is it about? Like, as your recommendation what makes you think I will like it?

I'm not sure if I can do a good job of introducing this anime without spoiling it, but I'll try. 😊 I think the genre for Fruits Basket is Slice of Life + Fantasy where a family/clan is cursed with the zodiac animals. The female lead is a very kind highschooler and due to some circumstances, she gets involved with the members of the Souma clan who was cursed with the zodiac animals (they turn into the zodiac animal if hugged by the opposite gender).. It is very bright and lovely but as we get to know the characters more, it become soo deep. It is an enjoyable journey to discover each characters and see their growth.. From what I've seen, I think PDnim will enjoy the journey while trying to understand each characters' psych and empathize with them. This anime is set with highschooler as the main leads, has a little bit element of fantasy and the female lead is very soft and patient (which I think quite refreshing because I found a lot of female lead in anime and drama to be the spunky and volatile types). I also love the animation and frames in this anime. Very pretty.. I try not to give spoiler but I hope this helps. 😉 Do let me know if there are specifics that you want to know about it.

Also, if you decided to check it out, I would recommend checking it out in subbed rather than the dubbed version. I feel like some of the dubbed voices are not suitable for certain characters and makes the characters really different from the intended vibe. This anime also has 3 seasons (complete), so it can be quite a long journey. I've noticed that Netflix only has Season 1 and 3 though and the subtitle there is a bit weird, so it might be better to watch it on other platform instead.
